50 cl. Bottle. Small off-white head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Mahogany color. Quite thick aroma almost like port wine, also malt, chocolate, hint of coffee like and roasted malty notes, floral and light alcohol. Full bodied with a soft carbonation and mild dry alcoholic texture. Strong sweet flavor with good counter bitterness. Lingering roasted malty and nutty warming finish. jesperhammer (4826) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 22, 2009
Bottle. Tasted at Ulkløbben.
Very dark brown with almost white head. Very malty (chocolate and charamel), and quite hoppy as well. Somewhat creamy. It is very understated, and one for a quiet corner.
I like it a lot. Some might find it a bit too sweet, bit i find it balanced nicely by the bitternes (50 IBU). Overall the one word might be "balance". HenrikSoegaard (14291) - Randers, DENMARK - MAR 27, 2009

Pours dark brown, with a white head. Strong malty chocolate aroma. Medium body and smooth mouthfeel. Chocolate flavor with slight note of sourness. Dark fruits; like raisins in the background. Very drinkable. sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 4, 2010
(Bottled, 0.5l) Deep, clear blood red with a small, lightly tanned head. Aroma of dried fruit, toffee-caramely malt, warming alcohol, and somewhat christmasy spices. Flavor is also dried-fruity, very caramely-malty, lightly spicy and salty flavor. Almost full, thickly-malty body with low carbonation. A quite nice and christmasy old ale to be sipped in July :). 6237 rane (1072) - Nibe, DENMARK - MAY 6, 2009
Bottle. A fine beer. Mahogany brown with medium pale brown head. Aroma malty with some nice haselnutt aromas, toffeeas well. Taste malty, sweet, ends with some hoppy bitterness, that I find gets a little too much, but otherwise a very nice beer. I have to say it, this is the most interesting danish brewery at the moment., but of cause it doesn´t have the Mikkeller name to rise the ratings. Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUN 14, 2009
The color is a beautiful, red mahogany and the head is creamy. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and dark fruits. The flavour has sweetness and notes of roasted malt, dark fruits, citrus, bitter chocolate and it is very harmonic and nice. tarjei (1954) - Bryne, NORWAY - AUG 8, 2009
