5/II/17 - 25cl bottle @ Brugs Bierfestival - BB or bottled: XII/2013 (2017-156) Thanks to bartlebier for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark brown beer, small irregular creamy beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. aroma: sweet, caramel, lots of alcohol, dark malts, very roasted, some honey. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very roasted, alcohol, sweet touch, bit oxidized, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: sweet, alcohol, very roasted, caramel, very intense, coffee, really nice one!

25cl bottle 2012ish vintage? courtesy of EU Swap by Enjoyit - mange tak skal du have! - Shared at Brugs BF 2017. - Flat, oily soy sauce pour. Weaker roasty pecans and hazelnuts, soy sauce, liquorice syrup, Honey Pops in a well-managed boozy nose give way to a mature, only slightly madeira-ised slick flat soy nectar of a Honey ImpPorter. Odd herbal and botanical undercurrents (mint, mineral liquorice) as well as ash make for repeated sipping interest - must be that fennel (seed). - Should go great with newfangled Scandi-minimalist cuisine, drizzled over crunchy wayside herbs on hot stones...

Pours black, small grey ring of foam. Smell is very full, roasty. Creamy. Taste is very sweet, metallic, burnt malts, bitter roastyness, burnt, ok .silky yet thin mf . Low carbo.

MPA (999) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - APR 6, 2016
Bottle, sampled April 6, 2016. Dark brown/black with no head. Aroma of soy sauce, chocolate, alcohol, plum and burned malt. Flavour is moderately sweet with chocolate notes, a vinous touch of ripe plum and a long lasting roasted malt/coffee bitterness. Salty licorice stays on the lips. Flat and full bodied. I really enjoy this beer. Christian: please bring this one back.

It is a black Imperial Porter without either carbon dioxide or foam. Good vinous rich flavor with hint of coffee, cherries and other fruit. As a whole, it is heavily, vinous and with almost wine-like character.

250mL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn (thanks a lot, Alex), pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is dense, with burnt caramelized sugar, roasted malt, liqueur and tobacco. Flavour is complex as hell, with notes of tobacco, smoked malt, burnt caramelized sugar and liqueur. Quite robust, bordering on too harsh, but this is quite elegant nonetheless. Finishes burnt, lightly smoky and alcoholic without being too much.

Ratman197 (15360) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - OCT 30, 2013
Nip bottle shared by Doodler (thanks Scott!) poured a clear dark reddish brown with no head (flat). aromas of brown sugar, toffee, roasted malt and caramel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of smoke, licorice, molasses and bakers cocoa with a smooth dry lingering smokey finish.
