From tap at Lord Nelson. Pours hazy dark brown with a small off-white head. Rather fruity and dark caramelish malty. Nice hoppy and citrusy, grapefruity and slight peachy. Lingering grapefruity and dry citrusy finish.

Bottled (from systembolaget, thanks mom & dad). Deep amber colour, small off-whit to beige creamy head that leaves good lace. Aroma is cookies, some sweet hops, mild nectar, quite bitter floral notes as well. Flavour is big time fruity and floral hops with grassy notes. Also some liquorice, Mild nutty notes.

Bottled. Clear brown, smal lfirm head. Aroma of coffee and pear-like hops. Medium bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Lots of pears and resin. Inky mega-bitter finish. Seriously over hopped.

Draft at Makke. Interesting combination of chocolate and bitterness, a fairly decent addition to the style.

Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 11, 2011
On tap. Beautiful, clear reddish brown with an off-white head. Fresh tropical fruit in the nose. Rather light body, light nutty accents and a little caramel but completely dominated by the tropical hops leaving a massive bitterness. Fresh! 100211

Clear deep red brown beer, good pale tan head. Sweetish coffee nose! Smooth palate, slightly dry. Even malt with some dark character. Bitter citric and pine hops. The overall impression however is of a beer that is coffee and bitter toffee! Light and fairly bitter finish. Interesting!
