HOT!!!! Atemberaubender holzig erdiger Hopfenduft voller Zitrusaromen und dann im Mund wie einen Planierwalze. Mächtig, malzig, hopfenaromatisch und verwegen kantig, aber dann auch wieder angepasst rund. Ein Erlebnis!!! 25cl/4,50 vom Fass beim 2ten Bremer Bierfest. yblosc59 (1) - Lille, FRANCE - OCT 4, 2011 does not count
Found this bottle in a beer shop in Ghent and took it to discover. Surprising beer with loads of aromas and flavours. Excellent ! They can make good beers in Denmark. davidm (2081) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 17, 2013
On tap at the Alehouse Project, for the hop festival. Great, malty, with subtle hoppiness. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, with hints of liquorice. Taste is malty, with bitter notes, and long length. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Black, with a big frothy head. caesar (7170) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - FEB 13, 2012
Bottled bought at de Molen. Slight hazy brown color, short lasting brownish head. Lovely aroma of citra hops, which pairs nelson sauvin like aroma with a fair amount of citrus. In the back some chocolat , biscuit and caramel notes are present . Awesome aroma. Quite bitter taste, very fruity, but again chocolat and caramel sweetness to balance it up. Simply stunning brew. D-licious! AndrewsCheese (10) - Santa Monica, California, USA - JAN 4, 2013
This beer is very special. It’s much more than just a hopped up porter which is a quick and dirty way to describe it. The Citra hops are gentle enough to not overpower the malt and the result is a beautiful marriage of delicate bitterness, intense citrus, balanced by coffee and caramel. The finish lasts forever and makes you feel like you just had dessert and coffee.

At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Brown colour. Lovely aroma and flavour of brown and lightly roasted malts, caramel, rye bread and a little chocolate, mixed with distinct fruity (apricot, melon, citrus) hops. I was sceptical how well Citra hops would fit in a brown ale, but Beer Here have succeeded. Good stuff! Adenila (1560) - DENMARK - APR 1, 2011
Hazy brown with a small baige head. Powerfull complex aroma of primary grapefruit along with melon, dark bread, rye and raw chocolate. Very high bitterness in the flavor, mainly from the hops but with some roasted malt notes. Backed up by a medium caramel sweetness and some nice warming alchohol. Overall a great beer. Bottle at the East Croydon Beer Tasting. Pours dark brown with a huge, beige head. Lots of citrus and pine on the nose, subtle coffee roast. Delicious flavor, sweet and roasty malts, some light espresso, resinous and grapefruity bitterness. Medium in body with average carbonation. Pretty bitter on the finish, blend of dry roast and scorched earth, some pine and fresh grass, mild mocha. Great beer. DutchDrebus (6093) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JUN 16, 2012
Bottle @ home. Ruby red to brown colour with a decent beige head. Smells very hoppy, very bitter, very fruity, very lovely, some malts, caramel and sweet. Tastes very hoppy, bitter and grapefruits, mixed with a pleasant and soft brown ale taste and some coffee notes. Great blend of styles. Great carbo, medium body. This was a superb tasty beverage. Really really smooth and silky with the taste and flavour of toasty rich malts used. The hops add some spice to the beer but never took away from the beers over all smooth feel but complemented the malts in a very pleasant way.
