English: Belgian Strong ale finished with lactic acid bacteriae and matured on Danish red wine casks with sour cherries.

PilsnerPeter (3049) - Flushing, New York, USA - JUN 25, 2009
Bottle shared by JoeMcPhee: Pour a murky burgundy with a deep tan head that retained well for the ABV. The aroma is quite fruity with a vinous presence and lots of currant, buttery oak richness and dark cherry tannins. Slick warming body. Fruity flavor- tart and very tannic with lots of buttery oak, cherry skin and mildly tart making it more currant like than cherry-ish. Interesting and similar to Rosso e Marrone. Nice.

250ml bottle bought at Barley Wine in Copenhagen, airborne back home to Tromsø and shared with Finn during a Midsummer fest. Opaque dark red (rather unidentified) body topped by a ring of bubbles. Mild aroma of tart berries. Rounded and smooth taste of cherries. The sourness is kept under control and not overdone. Some refreshments (23.06.2009).

Kanskje litt kjedelig. KI=1

(25cl bottle, BB 01/01/2019) Pours a cloudy red-brown body with a small off-white head. Aroma of vinegar, mustiness, cherry, and wood. Flavor of cherry, yeast, earth, marzipan, and green veggies.

Papsoe hooks it up again. Pours a murky reddish brown, no head at all. Aroma is dominated by cherries, with notes of oak, some light spices, with some strong acetic notes. Flavor is much milder than anticipated, there is a strong wood presence, with the sour notes rounding things out. But as it warms, this is becoming way to acetic for me.

Dickinsonbeer (5073) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 16, 2009
Bottle shared by Goldtwins I think. Pours a deep amber ruby red with a thin diminishing head. Aroma is funky stinky brett, sharp cheesy notes, with dark sour cherry woody notes, pitty tannic, and brown sugar. Cherry stone flavor, astringent tannic and cyanide with more sweentess, and an oxidized note almost like a sherry miixed with soy saltiness with more tart old sour cherries, green and herbal with almost a peanuty finish with mild acidity. Very strange beer.

KnutAlbert (6796) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 16, 2009
Smells like Danish cherry wine, lots of fruti and sugar. Farily light, sweet, flat. Not very impressed.

KimJohansen (10497) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - JUN 8, 2009
Dark red with a medium beige head. Sour aroma with lacto, sour cherries, lacto and wood. Flavour was very sour with lacto, sour cherries, wood, almonds and barnyard notes.

Anker (723) - Hillerød, DENMARK - MAY 30, 2009
On tap at CBF.
Pours a mahogany colour with no head.
The aroma is quite dim, but with notes of sour cherries, vinegar, caramel and malt.
Flavour is cherries, some plume and caramel. Its a acidic and vinous mouthful.

Papsoe (25055) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 29, 2009
On tap. Pours a hazy and opaque reddish brown with absolutely no head. Intense cherry aroma. Surprisingly full-bodied, completely flat with distinct cherries and wood. Mouthfeel is a little tired. Strange bird indeed. 160509
