With its deep red color, without foam it looks most like red wine. The aroma is clearly sweet cherry and vanilla. The taste is certainly quite special: Ripe cherry, vanilla, sour taste of yeast and very vinous mouth feel. It is an unusually distinctive beer experience and I have never tasted anything so delicious before. It will be perfect as an aperitif on a warm summer evening and I bow deeply in the dust for this magnificent masterpiece. bager (2120) - Copenhagen N, DENMARK - FEB 20, 2009

Bottle at CSA’s and at Plan B. Dark brown - offwhite head. Roasted, sweetness, oaked, wood, berries, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, vanilla, marcipan, cherry, cocoa, light chocolate, licorice, dryness, leather, caramel, nice sourness, acid, tar, dried fruits, light alcoholic finish. Lovely - Thanks CSA !!! fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 28, 2009
Bottle, much thanks to andersand. Aroma of yogurty cultures, tart-yogurt cherries, cherry pits, lots of oak/wood, lots of leather. Flavor has lots of tart cherry skins, and some sweeter cherry notes, sort of like a chocolate cherry dessert, decadent but not sugary. Other fruits creep in as well, peach, grape. Big leather/earthy notes as well, and some signs of malt, with a return to a yogurt-cherry finish. Mildly acidic. A touch of warmth on the finish. I really feel that each element of the beer is clearly defined yet meshes seamlessly with the others in a complex array of goodness.

Murky brownish red body. Exploded out of the bottle but no head after settling. The aroma is all tart cherries. Brown sugar in there as well. Mouth puckering finish. Lingering cherry flavor. The body is similar to the aroma but more brown sugar. Thanks Brad. Grovlam (4244) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 8, 2009
25 cl. Bottle. Pours out with a subtle bubbly reddish beige head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Muddy deep dark reddish color. Very complex aroma of heavy sour cherry, Red Wine, oak, yeast, barnyard. Over the palate came heavy malty and dried fruity notes with again yeast sourness and the feel of barnyard, rubber, horse blanket. Somewhere in there prunes, date, plums. What a combination. Full bodied with a soft carbonation and dry yet very drinkable smooth texture for 11%. Heavy sour flavor with good counter sweetness. Lingering sour cherry and Red Wine oaky dry finish. Wow what a masterpiece. Christian is defiantly back! charlotte (5382) - rødovre, DENMARK - FEB 14, 2009
