English: Belgian Strong ale finished with lactic acid bacteriae and matured on Danish red wine casks with sour cherries.

Bottle @ home. Pours with a hazy red/ brown colou, with a medium sized fast disappearing beige head. Acidic aroma of red wine, wood, cherries. Notes of alcohol, and dried fruits. Flavour is acidc, like the sour french redwine, dried fruits and cherries and alcohol. More interesting than good.

250mL bottle, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out soya sauce, dark dried cherries, and light tartness. Flavour is quite unsettling, with notes of vomit, cardboard, dried fruits, and some soy sauce. This is too old and oxidized, unfortunately. Not good.

Bottle - Vintage 2004? - Berry, umame and some cheesy notes. Deep brown with a small head. Prune juice, light sweet malty notes. Not good.

With its deep red color, without foam it looks most like red wine. The aroma is clearly sweet cherry and vanilla. The taste is certainly quite special: Ripe cherry, vanilla, sour taste of yeast and very vinous mouth feel. It is an unusually distinctive beer experience and I have never tasted anything so delicious before. It will be perfect as an aperitif on a warm summer evening and I bow deeply in the dust for this magnificent masterpiece.

Nip bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of caramel, cherry and spice. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of cherry, spice and light caramel with a smooth dry lingering cherry finish.

Well, picked this up as an extra in Denmark from a very nice trader! almost no head, murky plum color pour. Nose is very lactic, loads of cherry. Very sour. TasteWow. Very sour with loads of cherries, lots of oakiness and tannins nutty finish. it’s interesting but not all that mind-blowing.

BeerandBlues2 (14018) - Escondido, California, USA - MAY 2, 2013
Bottle received via trade with thewolf. Pours clear brown with a garnet hue, short frothy light tan head, short retention with no lacing. Aroma is spicy alcohol, cherries, caramel and cookie malt with earthy hops. Flavor is lightly tart cherries, moderate supporting malt with light alcohol and hops, bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body and light carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of Beerandblues2, thanks! Cloudy brownish maroon color, tan edge head. Aroma of sour cherries, lemon meringue, brandy. Taste is sweet and softly sour candied maraschino cherries, hints of cocoa and subtle coffee. Booze shows through.
