The color is almost black. Aroma of caramel, malt, candi sugar, lightly soapy. Good body, strong caramel flavor, a bit too alcoholic, with some sweetness and traces of liquorice. Unrefined. Good, not great.
14th December 2010. At the Euston Tap with Harrisoni. Incredible label on this beer - made me gasp and laugh out loud. Very controversial but I like it’s subversive attitude towards the Monks! Anyway the beer - Clear dark brown beer, no head. Softish dry palate. Sweetish Belgian Strong style beer. Coca Cola and some fruit and bubblegum sweetness. Dry finish with a sublte pinch of spice. Not bad but not my favourite Beer Here beer! harrisoni (19534) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2010
Bottle at Euston Tap thanks to Ken. Cloudy dark brown. Thick lasting beige head. Spicy hop Belgian Bit of oak or wood. Intense blackcurrant. I love the fruit and aroma but then dies a little but still close to the first Pannepot I ever had. As close to Caulier Pannepot 2005 I have had. hallinghansen (3471) - Odense SV, DENMARK - DEC 12, 2010

Bottle (50 cl) from Bierkompass.de. I love the label of this beer. Otherwise, it was not that exciting. Weak belgian character, some malitiness with a roasted touch. Dry with boring salty bitterness. Dedollewaitor (16539) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 7, 2010
Bottle @ Odense Tasting, December 2010. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head and lacings. Nose is rye, caramel, fruit and nuts. Dark fruity and nutty flavor with a whiff of caramel. Smooth and full bodied. A bit of alcohol lingering . . Almost as good as expected!!! Nice. Christian (13923) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2010
Near black with a lasting tan head. Aroma of dried fruit, banana, spice and vineous alcohol. Sweetish and full flavour with dark dried fruits, dark sugar, nuts and a touch of licorice. Bottle from Høkeren, Copenhagen. The body of this sinner’s beer is deep and murky brown, corresponding perfectly to a sinful soul. The aroma gives of dark malts, hints of licorice and raisins, but comes across as a tad bit faint all in all. Taste is however much more solid - a staple quad: dark malts, raisins, figs and dark candy sugars. Well-made but not outstanding in the genre, Malus Pater scores mostly (in my book) on the fantastically burlesque and humorous label, depicting some malevolent priest engaged in "extracurricular activities" with what appears to be a perhaps an altar boy. Wielding a beer from Beer Here in his hand, of course. Was this brew meant as a comment to the recent unraveling of sexual misconduct in the Catholic Church? Perhaps. I liked it, anyhow. :-) oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - NOV 27, 2010
Hunters, Pori. Quite much black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is toffee, raisins, liquorice, some ashes, alcohol and quite strong stuff. Flavour is toffee, sweet malts, some roasted and toasted notes mild grass, some caramel and nice. Pleasant, even though will probably win on aging it a bit.
