UPDATED: JUN 7, 2014 pours a very dark prown with a small brown head. Stuff in here has a big malt profile, dark sweet dried fruits, caramel, yeast, spices and some fruits (I kinda got some banana as well). Reminded me alot of the Rochefort 10 in some ways. beerisgoodforu (992) - Nørresundby, DENMARK - NOV 23, 2010
Bottle. Pours a very dark and murky red color with some brown notes and a smalll tan head. Aroma is of dark fruit, a general breadiness, yeast and some spice. Flavor is quite bready with bready notes that reminds me of rye bread, along with that i get alot of dark fruit like dades and figs, along with some brown sugar, alot of sweet maltiness, somekind of general berry note, yeast and spice. I like how well the 10% alcohol is hidden. The body is medium to full with a fairly dry mouthfeel. Overall a pretty nice Quad! Skinnyviking (9588) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 11, 2010

Nose of gingerbread, sugar, weak alcohol, and raspberry, mediumweak feel, short taste of burnt malt, alcohol, and sugar cane Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 23, 2010
On tap. Surprisingly close to black with a warm reddish hue and a creamy beige head leaving laces. The nose has plenty of fat prunes and other dried fruits, brown sugar and friendly phenols. Very full-bodied with lovely dried fruit notes and also some licorice. The yeastiness is rather downplayed but lots of friendly phenols and a warming alcohol. Has a vague late tartness. My kinda beer! 180910 thewolf (12635) - Kolding, DENMARK - SEP 19, 2010
Bottle, bought @ Kihoskh, Cph.
Pour is deep red-brown with a fizzy, off-white head that soon disappears. Aroma is lovely complex. Lots of raisins, plums, mild tobacco, dark chocolate, sweet Belgian sugars. Low carbonation, great creamy and light oily mouthfeel. Flavour is vinous, slightly harsh, good fruitiness, lots of plums, caramel, light dark chocolate. Fine bitterness at the end. This is a very good example of a Quad, but there is a slight harshness that detracts if compared to the ’real’ Belgians.
