English: In the Trappist monasteries an extra strong and good ale was brewed during the lent to keep the hunger at bar. The sweet drops on an empty stomach, combined with the much idle time occasionally led to less steadfast members of the order giving in to more earthly excesses. They went under the name "Malus Pater" - the bad father. With this ale inspired by the trappists you can now even do the same. And remember: God sees everything, but he doesn’t tell!

Bottle Aroma-dark fruits, raisin, Appearance-brown, hazy, tan foam, Taste-medium sweetness, lightly sour, lightly bitter, Palate-full body, thick feel, average carbonation, long finish, Overall-very good

Appropriately carbonated for the style as it spills slowly out the top on opening. Pours black and surprisingly without head (maybe it all spilled out). Beautifully sweet aroma and flavour. Complex date and dark fruit flavours ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nieduża ale gęsta kremowa piana w szkle, barwa mahoniowa, osad drożdżowy w postaci małych drobinek w piwie. Aromat fantastyczny - intensywne ciemne winogrona, czereśnie, kandyzowane i suszone owoce (rodzynki, daktyle, figi, papaja, gruszka), wanilia, dziki miód spadziowy i oczywiście porto i brandy. W smaku, w przeciwieństwie do zapachu, mniej słodko, dominuje susz, ciemne owoce, nuty dębowe, przyprawowe, waniliowo-likierowe a nawet kakaowe.

Malus Pater is another one of the many provocative labels Beer Here almost become known for presenting intermittently. There have been labels that the danish supermarket COOP found offensive and had to replace with new labels, labels with TinTin exposed as a Nazi, and so this label clearly sends its signal on sexual abuse of altar boys in the Catholic Church. Beer Here is Beer Here. Take the beers as they are, and if you put too many emotional values in their provocations as it merely provides that you miss some damn good beers. The color is almost black, and from the glass with the weak foam increases the wildest fruit aromas in the air. It is an inferno of fruit, so it’s virtually impossible to keep them separate. The flavor is a nice warming alcohol feeling on a deep vinous background. At high concentrations can now separate the raisins, figs and prunes from fruit impressions know. It leaves a long and very pleasant aftertaste.

Bottle, shared with Davey. Dark amber hazy with a soft golden head. Lovely brown sugar and plums, quite fruity and estery, pithy bitter finish. Very nice, lots of sweet dark fruits.

Unclear brown with white head. Red candy, Belgian spice, red berries and caramel. Fruity, floral, sweet caramel and some warming alcohol. Overall: enjoyable. Tastes like candy with caramel wort.

50 cl bottle @ hotel room, Copenhagen. Batch #59, BBE 09/2019
Aroma has strong hayish malt and berries typical to Danish ales. Flavour has berries, some chocolatey malt, alcohol and raisins. Not that good for a quad but this is one of those beers I bought for the label.

olio (10549) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 30, 2015
50 cl bottle @ hotel room, Copenhagen.
Pours dark mahogany red color with a small head. Malts and "danish berries" on the nose, some caramel and faint hops. Sweet caramel flavor with malts and ripe fruits and toffee, some sugary and molassy notes too. Not very pleasant. Meh.
