Pours dark mahogany red color with a small head. Malts and "danish berries" on the nose, some caramel and faint hops. Sweet caramel flavor with malts and ripe fruits and toffee, some sugary and molassy notes too. Not very pleasant. Meh.
It’s black with a light red hue and a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of dark fruit, hops, yeast, preserved fruits and caramel. The flavour is sweet and vinous with notes of dark fruits, prunes, raisin, plum, caramel and the finish is slightly dry. It’s a nice and complex beer. Small, receding, slighly irregular beige head over deep-brown to black beer. Very perfumey nose with marzipan, bubblegum, rosewater, suggesting perfumey sweet. Fruity esters and dark malts. Very sharp-bitter liquorice and drop - even salt one. Some fruity background notes, fruitdrops, but all drowned in the bitter liquorice flavour. Bitter chocolate retronasal. Well bodied, slick to viscous, alcoholwarming. Just a taste I abhorr, sorry. tderoeck (9978) - Gent, BELGIUM - DEC 1, 2011

(Draught at Ölbaren, Copenhagen, 17 June 2010) Dark brown colour, almost black, with creamy beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, raisins, prunes and dark bread. Malty, fruity taste with dark bread, roasted malt, raisins, prunes, dried fruit, brown sugar and a spicy , herbal bitterness in the finish. Full body, smooth and rounded moutfeel. Fairly sweet with a whiff of warming alcohol. Rather heavy beer in excelllent balance, which makes it very drinkable. Lovely beer! Hansen (8595) - Assentoft, DENMARK - FEB 23, 2011

50 cl bottle @ hotel room, Copenhagen. Batch #59, BBE 09/2019
Aroma has strong hayish malt and berries typical to Danish ales. Flavour has berries, some chocolatey malt, alcohol and raisins. Not that good for a quad but this is one of those beers I bought for the label.
