Bottle. Dark brown beer with medium dense brown head. Aroma with notes of licorice, sugar, malt. Taste strong, malt, licorice, sweet sugar. A fine beer but compared to the belgian trappiste quads it´s lacking a bit of complexeness.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2014 pours a very dark prown with a small brown head. Stuff in here has a big malt profile, dark sweet dried fruits, caramel, yeast, spices and some fruits (I kinda got some banana as well). Reminded me alot of the Rochefort 10 in some ways. Bottle @ Odense Tasting, December 2010. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head and lacings. Nose is rye, caramel, fruit and nuts. Dark fruity and nutty flavor with a whiff of caramel. Dark, dark brown. Has an off-white head, mostly lasting. Sweet aroma, notes of dark, dried fruits and malt. Flavor is heavy sweet, more dark bread, fruit, grain, faint roasted. Syrupy texture. Soft carbonation.
