500ml bottleRune (12587) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 10, 2011
Pours black with a medium foamy head. Aroma has notes of chocolate, roasty malts and coffee. Taste is quite chocolatey with notes of roasted malts and coffee, slight hints of smoke. Finish is bitter and smooth. Nice, well balanced porter.
500ml bottle picked up at Barley Wine in Copenhagen. A good looking brew with its fawn-coloured head covering a clear, rosewood coloured body. Subdued smell of smoked malts. Smoked flavour with hints of chocolate, star anise and citrus hops to the finish. Smooth in the mouth. Ok, a tad anonymous, though (hotel room, 01.11.2011). OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 9, 2011
0.5L botttle from Kihoskh, København. Pours an unclear dark brown body with a reddish hue. Two fingers of creamy beige foam on top. Roasted dark malts on the nose. Subtle smoke, and a scent of burnt caramel. Much of the same flavorwise. Well roasted dark malts in the lead, added by discreet smoke/ash tones, and with hints of burnt caramel and bitter coffee. Smooth on the palate. Medium full. Roasted and malty-bitter endnotes. Solid stuff, nicly balanced. LoFi (1714) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 8, 2011

Not that smoky, but a nice porter. rand (1700) - SWITZERLAND - OCT 30, 2011
Bottle 50 cl from erzbierschof.ch. Dark brown with beige and sticking head. Scents of smoke, roasted, chocolate, coffee. The taste is very roasted but creamy, smoked with dark fruits, some tar, verjuice, coffee-choc, burnt toffy, licorice. Long and unctuous finale on the smoked, no heaviness.

Black body and a creamy lasting brown head. Aroma of smoke, tar, chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. The taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Bitter burnt finish. Creamy texture. JanLaursen (3227) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 13, 2011
Slightly hazy brown beer with a short but stable beige head. Hard roasted malty aroma with notes of coffee, caramel, nuts and mild smoke. Taste is medium sweet and bitter with smokey notes and some citrus from the hops. I am a little disapointed at my first sip - and my second - but this one actually grows on you. It’s very well-balanced with a delicate touch of smoke. The body is medium, the texture is oily bordering on watery, carbonation is soft, finish is dry and bitter. larsniclas (7038) - Billdal, SWEDEN - SEP 27, 2011
