A 0.5L bottle from K-Market. Pale head. Mild nose with some banana. Hazy pale yellow colour. Soft taste of banana and some lemon. At the end mild hops.

madsberg (11774) - Søborg, DENMARK - JUL 26, 2009
Bottled. Pale yellow coloured. Unclear. Dense white head. Sweetness, orange, light fruits and light cloves in the aroma. Flavour is citric, sweet, bananaish and spiced. Medium bodied. Dry. Sweetish and spiced end. Could be a bit more flavourful, but it’s quite refreshing. The label is great humor IMO and gives an extra point to the appearance.

Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JUL 18, 2009
0.5 l bottle from K-Market Länsiväylä, Jyväskylä. Hazy straw color. The aromas of orange, grapefruit, coriander, pepper, bready wheat and hint of banana. Dry wheaty, orangey, peppery and herbal flavor with some woody-bitter spiciness. Oily palate, medium body. Good aroma but in the flavor there is a spicy elemement which I don’t like. Still, fairly good summer beer.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2011 2011-02-05, bottle at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö, Gustav Adolf Torg, as Vår Wit, 5-3-5-2-9=24
Hazy golden color. Some aroma of coriander and vegetables. Weak body, some caramel flavor and too much vegetables. Bad.

2009-05-11, draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, 6-3-5-2-11= 27
Cloudy blond color. The aroma has some wheat, sweetish, and light fruits, light banana. The mouthfeel is quite dry, without a specific flavor, with some added spices, a bit peppery, and more bitter than a common wheat beer. In the final there is still a hint of banana, appreciated. Not bad but not interesting either.

Christian (13759) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 12, 2009
Hazy pale yellow with a firm white head. The aroma has a hint of banana, but spice dominates, coriander, and a touch of clove. The flavour is first of all refreshing citrus, with white bread, spice and fruit. Smooth and perfectly carbonated for optimal quenching quality. Had availability and price been a little better, it would be hard to imagine a hot day without a pint or two...

Cloudy yellow color, white head. Apricots, banana, citrus, fruity scent. Hoppy, citrus, fruity, bitter taste. Medium and smooth mouthfeel. Medium high bitterness. Nice and refreshing.

As Beer Here Vår Wit
33 cl bottle from Systembolaget, BB 12-01-12. Sampled on September 4, 2011
Hazy copper color, frizzy white head. Phenolic, Belgian yeast, some tin can and electrical wires, smoke scent, also some orange peel and sort of sweet. Acidic, spicy, phenolic, thin taste. Also yeast. Dry finish. Thin mouthfeel, some alcohol warming. Thin dry bitterness.
A far cry from what I had as Tia Loca on tap, too bad.

austone (1062) - Turku; Pori, FINLAND - JUL 12, 2009
50cl bottle, and a nicely labelled bottle it is indeed, I ’m a bit of a Tintin myself. Hazy bright yellow, firm foaming pale head. Strong soapy & spicy coriander nose, wheat, lovely banana. Flavor isn’t as heavy on the coriander, there’s more white pepper, loads of wheat, spiciness, mild and nicely fitting sourish edge, banana and maybe mint, not that fruity overall. Sweetish, lemon soapy witbier finish. Medium bodied, strong and pretty mouthfilling carbonation. A solid Wit with little German notes in there, definitely a quencher.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 11, 2009
It is unclear, warm golden with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of wheat, coriander, yeast and citrus. The flavour has sweetness and notes of banana, clove, wheat, oranges, coriander and the finish is slightly dry and spicy. It is a very successful mix between German and Belgian wheat beers, truly nice!
