Draught. [Beer festival 2009] Average bubbly white head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Cloudy light golden color. Aroma of wheat, citrus, coriander, fruit, floral notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Light to moderated sweet flavor. Light wheat like finish. TET (3278) - Kaarina, FINLAND - JUL 3, 2009
Cloudy, light yellow beer with medium white head. Aroma is weird and it is like white wine and pear cider: sour and sweet perry. Flavour is more typical wheat beer, quite dry, some pears, yeast, sourness and some spicy. Nice and easy to drink, but still slippery and enough of body. Tia Loca is interesting beer that would need another taste before final judge, but even now it is very interesting beer, absolutely worth to try. TBone (18552) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 1, 2009
UPDATED: MAY 26, 2011 Bottled (BB04/2010).
Hazy yellow color, medium-sized white head ... quite Hoegaardish. Banana and bubblegum in the nose with very evident coriander aroma. Crisp, citrus-limey. Orange peels, coriander and bubblegum. Lime and coriander in the aftertaste. Reasonably refreshing summer brew, but not very complex. This is much more Belgian than German. Pikkulintu. Hazy orange color, small white head. Bubblegummy and spicey aroma. Light body. Bubblegum and banana in the flavor plus quite bitter hoppy/spiceyness. Good German/Belgian mix. (7/3/7/3/13 3.3)
Bottle, at Copenhagen Beerfestival. A hazy, yellow-golden beer with a white head. Orange, banana and lemon in the aroma, with spicy notes and a wheaty touch. The wheat is left in the background in the flavor too, with the orange, banana and lemon doing most of the job, slightly supported by spiced notes. Dry, medium body, and a dry, bitter finish hiding most of the spices. Some notes of white sugar blends in. A quenching and well-tasting beer. Bottle. Frothy white good mostly deminishing head. Yellow cloudy colour. Light malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Surprisingly week yeasty notes. Moderate bitter flavor, dominated by citrus notes especially grape and lime. Average finish. Oily palate. Onedimensional and a little boring.

Pale hazy orange, small tight head. Initially citrussy, then wheaty and yeasty aroma. Finally, bananaey and very perfumey. Lively carbonation, slightly watery palate, but refreshing. Really is about half way between wit and a hefe. Unfortunately that means it’s lacking the body of a good hefe and the crispness of a good wit. Despite that, it’s a tasty summer brew, with a decent range to its flavours, even if there’s nothing new. (6:4:6:3:12=3.1)
Rerate: 330ml bottle (K Market, Kamppi) as Vaarwit - wtf - stop doing dodgy rebadges! That’s put me in a bad mood when drinking this, as I wouldn’t splash out Scandinavian beer prices for such a mediocre brew voluntarily. Aroma was duller, flavour was duller, palate was a little fuller, and overall I’m a little less impressed. (5+:4:5+:3+:10). Brewdog seem to have spoilt this one.
CBF 2009: Medium yellow and hazy, white head, fully lasting. Light malty aroma, lots of banana, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Madsnp (933) - DENMARK - JUN 13, 2009
Bottle. Hazy golden with a nice big froathy egg white head. Aromas of yeast, corinder, citrus and flowers. Flavour of wheat, spice, orange fruit and lemon. Great beer for a warm summer day. rosenbergh (11931) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 12, 2009
UPDATED: SEP 30, 2011 500 ml bottle. As Tia Loca. Finland.
Hazy pale yellow colour with medium white head. Citrus, wheat, yeast and spices in aroma. Some sweetness, bitterness, citrusy, wheaty, spices and yeasty in flavour. As described this is somewhere between German Weizen and Belgian Wit. As I’m big fan of Witbier I like this but...
330 ml bottle. As Vårwit brewed by BrewDog. Finland.
Hazy dark golden colour with small white head.
Intriguing wheaty, yeasty aroma with some caramel, mild hoppiness and mild spices. Wheat, yeast, mild hops and some spices in very dry flavour.
Still somewhere between Weizen and Witbier.
