From tap Lord Nelson. Pours hazy yellow to light orange, almost fully gone head. Sweet banana fruity aroma, light wheaty touch. Bitter/citric flavoured, orange fruity and mild coriander spiced. Medium sweet banana fruity flavoured. Light citric finish. Well crafted, not my thing like most wheat beers.

Draft. An unclear light golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of malt, wheat, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat and citrus, leading to a dry wheaty finish, and the body is thin. Boring - I find the mix of styles doesn’t work.

Draught at Ørsted Ølbar, Hazy yellow coloured with a medium sized white head. Fruity aroma of coriander and citrus with notes of caramel and spices. Sweet flavour of caramel and spices with notes of bananas and hops. Hoppy and spicy finish. Quite hoppy for a wheat beer.

Bottled (from K Supermarket Kamppi, Helsinki). Hazy yellow colour with mediumsized white creamy head, leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet wheat, crisp citrusfruits, zest, mild notes of yeast as well as some coriander and herbal notes. Flavour is wheat, yeast, some coriander, grass and also citrusfruits. Not overly sweet flavour. Creamy palate. Very pleasant and refreshing. Fullbodied for being only 4.5%.

Bottled, as Beer Here Vårwit. Hazy golden, rich head. Aroma of coriander and banana. Sweet and fruity with clean, spritzy mouthfeel. Fairly light bodied. Heavy on coriander. Feels correct, but not really all that appealing.

Copenhagen beer festival. Cloudy gold beer. Plenty of bubblegum in this wheat beer, but not cloying. Somewhat spoily by an overdry palate.

Papsoe (25060) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 11, 2011
UPDATED: JUN 6, 2011 Bottle 33 cl. As "Beer Here Vår Wit". Pours a hazy deep golden with a small white head. Fresh, fruity aroma with a distinct yeastiness. Light body, sweetish fruit with distinct coriander and citrus and a yeasty and slightly astringent finish. 6/2/6/2/13= 2.9 050211

On tap. As: "Beer Here Tia Loca". Pours a cloudy yellow with a creamy white head with some lacing. Lightly citrusy nose with a whiff of yeast. Medium body, fruity accents again with a little citrus and a little yeastiness - perhaps also a light touch of spices. Finishes very dry. Supposedly a Belgo/German hybrid, I’d said it’s neither/nor. If the ambition was simply a light summer quencher I guess you can say this beer made the cut. But I honestly find it terribly unambitious, bland and boring. 6/3/6/3/12=3.0 280409
