Amber colour beer with a medium white head. Aroma is wheat and smoked. Flavor is light sweet and light bitter with a smoked bitter fruity finish. Palate is medium. Strange finish.

Clear copper of color with a small white head. An aroma of feed for animal, old hay, wet cereal and smoke. A flavor of wet barley, sunflowerseeds, sweets, cereal and weak smoke.

500ml bottle (BierKompass.de)
3 OMFG, what is the aroma? Chemical, medicinal, cleaning fluid, sweet, dirty, dusty, what the farking fark?!?! Did kinda make me gag a little at first. Anna gets green olives. I’m not.
3 Looks pretty OK though, a deep orange, with a tight but tiny off-white head.
4 Tastes better than it smells, thank god. There’s definitely some smokiness to it, and definitely some roasted gains - quite flavoursome grains, almost as aromatic as a dark bread. But the bread’s gone stale, and a bit off. Anna was less verbose, and more negative. I think it was basically "nahhhhh, that’s pretty messed up"
3 Fairly watery palate, decent carbonation. Doesn’t feel like a 5.5% beer, it’s not "full" in the way some of the (actually, rather than branded) premium beers are. Oddly, it picks up in the finish, and loses the earlier horrors. Leaves you with an OK roast, and a OK dry smokiness. Improves as it warms, does fill out and become more "premium" in its feel, like a good ESB (but only in *feel*). Used to have a ’-’ sign, but I can drop that I think.
9 What can I say. Normally when I don’t like a beer from a top gun brewer, I’ll at least say "well crafted, even if not to my taste", but I don’t think I can reach that far. I think there was just a little bit to much experimentation here, and I don’t think it really worked. Absolutely not going to stop me trying every other Beer Here beer I can get hold of - as I know he can produce wonders almost every time.

Bottle (at Josie Bones in Melbourne, Australia). Simply weird. The underlying light smokiness as kind of ’fishy’, and this plays oddly against the fruit and spice. One of those beers that could drink many times and still not work it all out. "Complex" doesn’t even begin to describe it.

500ml bottle. Plenty of smoke in the aroma and the flavour. The beer sits well in the glass with a solid head and plenty of smokiness going on. One of the more intense and interesting smoked beers I have had.

Bottled (thanks Papsoe!) Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is grass, banana and some toasted and smoked notes. Totally harsh and putting you off. Flavour is toasted bread, mild smoke, ashes and some mild fruityness ending in a strange spiced way. A bit harsh, but in all perverseness of the balance and flavour I quite like it.

Bottle from Bier Koning. Solo hungover tasting in my hotel room! Clear gold beer, tidy off white head. Light dry palate. Mild smoke but weird herbal pale malt. Turns a little sweeter. Dry finish. Very odd and not at all palatable. Kudos for the experiment though!

Good head medium carbonation deep amber pour aromas smokey earfy dark ointment well fermented too chocolate ham the flavours hint of fruit old smokey roasted vegetables onion pumpkin sweet potato caramel has a bitter from the caramelized tastes but it fails the palate rather badly in taste stuffed if I know I got the tastes right not good at all

Geokkjer (7667) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 4, 2011
Pours golden with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of sour weed, smoke, malt, fruitiness, herbs and yeast. Flavor is sweet and herbal with weeds, nettle, grass, malt and herbal hops. Medium body, average carbonation. Weed beer, strange but still kinda good.
