3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours orangey brown with very little head. Aromas of dried fruits, some light malt and oak. More oak in the mouth together with some metallic tones and a lot of sweetness. Some winelike or rather, whiney notes. Decent concentration. A bit too warm in the mouth. Just okay for the price - this one was expensive.
500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 10%. BB date 31.07.15. Deep golden colour, large white head. Initially boozy aroma, strong notes of raisins, red wine, oak, honey, not bad at all. The flavour is medium sweet, not sweeter than the beer is dangerously drinkable for its strength, Otherwise the flavour has the same elements as the aroma. Very moderate hops. Quite enjoyable. Could probably be cellared for many more years. Svesse (8601) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 11, 2015
(Bottle) Orangey golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head, leaving traces of lacing. Fruity, vinous nose with notes of red wine, dried fruit, oak wood, citrus peel and grapes. Malty, fruity, vinous taste with dried fruit, sweet wine, marzipan, orange marmalade, apricots, oak wood and a vinous, sweetish finish with a slight wine sourness. Full body, quite sweet. Different and interesting, with a generous wine character and a fair amount of alcohol coming through. But quite tasty. Nice one. daje (4436) - NORWAY - SEP 10, 2014
Bottle. Light amber body with a staying offwhite head. Aroma of citrusy hops, clear red wine and oak notes, vanilla. Taste is pretty much the same with a strong sweetness, mild acidity, an interesting finish blending red wine and tropical fruits, a strange one. Don’t mind having it again. 500ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity and malty aroma, hints of apple, oat flakes, background-ish Pinot Noir-note. Taste is dry, Pinot Noir notes in the foreground, subtle malt sweetness, some fruitiness, hints of apple purée, red berries, biscuit. Benefits tremendously from the Pinot Noir BA, very well balanced overall result. PapaVillum (950) - Valby, DENMARK - APR 12, 2014
500 ml, flaske, 10,0 % ABV, købt i Kvickly Allerød,

Aroma is sweet and malty. Flavor is malty sweet and grape like bitter. color is golden amber with a white head. BeerViking (4798) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 4, 2014
Bottle, deep gold with a lasting thin fine white head and big winey aromas blending with spicy hops, the wine dominates yet it never smells quite like wine. The palate is bizarrely wonderful, a melange of tart red wine with honeyed malt and tropical fruit, the malt dominating here but so so winey all the same. Rich, lightly tart and fruity, with melon and grapes. Fascinating! abemorsten (3615) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - NOV 8, 2013
Vinuos okey buttery vanilla boozy raisin nose. Muddy nut orange body with a lasting small off-white head or even a film. Sweet, fruity and tart. Full bodied with a lasting alco warmth. Plenty of barrel notes, wine is prominent. I recognize both notes of light red wines and pungent white wines. Pleasant. Palme (4811) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 4, 2013
0.5l bottle from Barley Wine. This is a deep cloudy one, orange in color and it has a small islandy and sidesticking off-white head. It smells quite interesting this. In many ways it’s reminding me of a were sweet white wine - cab even so so far as to say a sweet dessert wine. Light fruity with sour apricots and green grapes. Not bad at all. It has a really tasty flavor this. Good oily on the mouthfeel with a average carbonation level. It has of course some alcoholic notes this, and it’s quite warming. It’s what I would call white wine vinous, cause it has a much clearer white wine flavor than a red wine imo, it’s somewhat zesty also like sweet honey melon zest, a little bit of " tart tartan with lots if grapes in the aftertaste. It’s perhaps a bit on the sweet side for some I can imagine. I bet this would work great with food, but honestly it’s working just fine without as well. I’m really wondering what that poor girl in the wood barrel is crying about. 10.05.2013 ekstedt (6790) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 27, 2013
