Pours three finger khaki head that fades very slowly, leaving a good lace. Hazy amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Brown sugar nose and flavor is brown sugar with a piney hop background. High ABV is hidden. $5.99 for a 500ml bottle from Julio’s Liquors Westborough, Ma. From a 500ml bottle on 19/9/2016. Pours a cloudy brown with a small head. The nose features caramel, toffee and a bit of dark fruit. In the mouth, it’s a sweet and malty sipper - dates, prunes and Christmas cake up front with more caramel and toffee malt in the background. It features some mild vinous notes and has a sharp and reasonably pronounced bitterness, with a bit of resin in the mix. The texture is slightly syrupy and the carbonation is moderate. It comes across as pretty big, though perhaps not quite 11%. I paid under eight bucks for this, which represents excellent value. Quite complex and very enjoyable. Will definitely return for another. Bottle sample @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Pours a near-black brown body with a small caramel head. Nose is coffee, caramel, herbs and spices. Taste is a lovely sweet blend of coffee, leather and caramel-wooden tones. Smooth and dangerously drinkable; Beer Here Yule Wine lingers nonchalantly in the space between a stout and a barley wine. Good stuff; this is among the best beers I’ve had from Beer Here and could easily become a Christmas favorite.

On tap. Pours a clear reddish nutty brown with no head. Heavy hoppy aroma, nutty. Solid body, low carbonation, quite some roast, burned caramel, a little woody with a massive bitter finish. 270511 dreadnord (1012) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 25, 2011
pours a dark and murky brown with a minimal white head. Nose is Biscuity malts and caramel with some vanilla and banana. Taste is hop bitterness in the very front which gives way to malty sweetness and transitions back to a bitter finish. Mouthfeel is astringent and oily with heavy body. This gets better as it warms so my advice would be to let it sit for while before indulging if you have kept it cool.
