Draught (6,66%) @ St. Urhon Sahtipäivät 2014. Aroma is fulfilled with bitter juniper tones, which I first thought were gooseberry bush -like hops. Also some soapy notes. Flavour has lots and lots of juniper and yeasty tones. Also some urinal tones (related to juniper most likely.) Finishes with an alcoholic kick. An ?imperial juniper? like gentleman next to me said. I seem to like this however. FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 13, 2012
Almost black, slight tracly aroma. Taste has teh treacle too. Is it really a sahti as we conventionally know it? It’s got all the right ingredients, but the burnt treacle is a bonus. Again, like the Phya Urho before it, this is super mellow, with no flaws and covers its strength. That’s what I love about sahti. Some gentle herbiness, almost pine more than juniper, in the finish. A fine brew indeed. hlkanga (204) - - MAY 26, 2012
Draught @ Beer Hunters. Pours almost opaque slightly brownish colour with small beige head that creates a lacing. Nice looking even though not your average sahti colour. Mild aroma is slightly bitter with some toasted malt and burnt notes. Flavour of grapefruit, sweet malt and licorice. Medium bodied, low to medium carbonation and long bitter grapefruit finish. A very nice thirst dryer. Quite bitter in a good way. Also very fresh idea to make dark sahti. JK54B (1602) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 19, 2012
At St.Urhos Pub Sahtipäivät 2012. Mild nose with some hints of coffee. No head. Dark black color. Soft fulfilled malty taste with some hints of coffee. Nice color. Also some hints of licorice and syrup. A nice one. Kingi (662) - - MAY 17, 2012
Dark colour with no head, A slightly sweet interesting taste with a light body. Although the taste was interesting it didn’t leave me craving for more. For some reason the rating i’m giving looks worse than i thought it would.

Dark, almost opaque brown color, small brownish head. Toasted, slightly smokey-toasted and vegetably aroma with woody juniper notes. Medium-bodied. Sweetish and sticky, some banana, juniper and licorice. Slightly untraditional good "Black Sahti" (new beer style? :) ).
