TEJA (3103) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 17, 2017
Bottle shared by my frien Terr , thanks. A bit un interesting aroma that lacks the crispy normal saison tuch. A plain beer taste that don’t have any phenols but also clean.

mviljamaa (183) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JUN 2, 2017
Pours with a nice and big white head that stays long. Color is cloudy, wheat beer -like. Aroma is very fruity and has tropical fruits. Palate is medium light and slightly dry, but theres also some oiliness in the after taste. Taste follows the aroma having notes of tropical fruits and additionally bitter hops in the edges. Some maltiness in the body and on the palate. Light, refreshing, but has a good kick from the bitterness of the hops. Nothing to complain, a very nice saison. The taste could maybe be more fruitier and sweeter, but that would possibly also reduce the lightness.

Kauge (1976) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 3, 2016
Bottle as a gift from Helsinki. BB 01.2017. ABV is 6.0%. Pours near clear amber with big off-white head. The aroma is grassy and lemon peel bitter, juicy, fruity, mellow Saison yeast cuminseed-kind of spiciness, and white bread dough notes from the wheat, very rounded and enjoyable. Tastes more bitter than sweet, somewhat spicy, indistinctly fruity, a bit doughy. The bitterness is kinda grassy, plus reminding me of C vitamin pills. As it warms I start getting a bit of medicinal notes, which are destracting and make me want to drink it faster and not pay attention to this. Overall very nice and refreshing, a bit over the top and not exactly traditional, but anyway, I would probably love to drown this in two gulps after 200 km of randonneuring or smth (not that I’d survive anything like this) : )

I think I’m rating the two Saisons pretty high today cause I haven’t had any nice ones for 4 months! : )

Bottle from Alko, Seinäjoki. Pours hazy light golden with a minimal persistent white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, sweet malts. Taste is citrus and spiciness, supported by sweet malts, hops and yeast. Palate is very smooth with surprisingly hoppy finish. Quite a decent Saison from Finland!

Bottle from dregs run. Cloudy gold. Nose of chemicals, orange peel, citrus. Taste is bitter, more chemical notes.
