33 cl bottle @ brewpub. Bottled on 11.05.2009. BBE 11.09.2009
Pours dark red-brown color with no head. Aroma of ripe fruits like plums and raisins, sweet sugary notes, some sherry notes with caramel malts. Flavour of slightly burnt caramel malts, some mild licorice notes, ripe fruits and wood, some subtle vanilla on the finish. Smooth oily palate, sweet lingering finish. Very good.

330 ml bottle @ the brewpub, Pori. Pours a pitch black colour without a head. Aroma of pungent wood, salty licorice, birch, bread and some berries. Flavour is very heavy with bread, salty licorice, soy sauce, sweet caramel and strong birch with subtle smoked notes. Full bodied and oily mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Heavy sweet and a really enjoyable sipper.

33 cl bottle @ Beer Hunter’s. Bottled 11.5.2009, BBE 11.11.2009
Finally got to share this one with veliemboys! Aroma has sherry, woody notes, alcohol and heavy malty notes. Aldo hints of berries. Flavour has dark chocolate, woody notes, alcohol and sherry. Also licorice and burned wood from a campfire. Well matured, a slow sipper in Lost Abbey style. Perhaps the best BH beer I’ve had.

Bottled (HBF). Opaque black color, no head. Licorice and oak in the nose. Sticky full-bodied brew. Molasses, cazramel, licorice, oak in the flavor. Roasted aftertaste. Quite sweet. Unique beer for Beer Hunters. Hopefully head brewer tries this also in the future!
