Draft at St. Urho’s.
Head is mostly diminishing.
Body is light to medium amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin, apricot), with a note of mango.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter.
Medium body, watery/velvety texture, soft carbonation.
Fairly resinous-grapefruity in the hop department, but some nice apricot and tropical notes as well. Full-flavored but a touch brash/abrasive. Overall pretty tasty and balanced, but a little too Americanized for my preference. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 26, 2013

Urho’s Pub, Helsinki. Amber colour, mediumsized beige foamy head. Aroma is fruity, floral, mildly toffeeish along with some slight bitter notes to it. Flavour is fruity, floral and a quite big bitterness to it. Balanced, but a bit too sweet for my taste.

EK Golding hops and marris otter malt in the nose, lightly fruity, lightly musty, has some rusticity to the aroma but it’s not dirty or moldy. The hops are expressed more as it warms, much more orange citrus character. Also develops a strong bitterness with some of that basement must and mold showing up in late. Seems much hoppier than you would expect from a British-made bitter, but it’s matched by the equally-expressive toasty caramel and toffee malt flavors. Low carbonation, mostly smooth malt, unfiltered and creamy. That’s the way to do it.

Lovely rich brown malty aroma. Some soap and a bit of perfuminess. Lovely dark brown, persistent tight head. Full rich body, smooth, pleasant carbonation. Great malty body, a little barky and husky. A touch acidic from the hops. Dry bitter finish. Very nice dark bitter. Stick this in your pipe and smoke it, all you twig-haters!
Tap @ St. Urho’s Pub, Helsinki. Pours a dark amber with a dark beige head. The aroma hits you in the face even a meter away with its fruitiness - American and New Zealand. Grapefruit, lemon, some exotics. A lot of citrus. Some caramel. Taste is citrus, a lot of grapefruit, caramel takes forefront on the finish. Turns dry and stingy, real nice. Palate is a bit light, could be a bit fuller, low carbonation, but just the right amount for the style. Excellent, probably even better than Fullers’ standard.

Fruity aoma with hops, some pineapples, hints of hay and fruit candy. Smooth, creamy palate. Flavour has hops, some fruits, resiny malt, nettles, toffee and hints of nuts. Some gooseberry bush and herbal notes in the finish. An ESB in American way. Nice. Too sweet to match my pizza with blue cheese & meat.
