Created and brewed in small batches on Wadworth’s micro brewery.
Coffee and stout make a natural pairing, with chalky bitterness and roasted flavours that serve to balance and complement each other from nose to mouth. Our Beer Kitchen Espresso Stout is brewed with the finest Kenyan Nyeri coffee beans, chosen for their lively roasted character, which intensifies the depth of cocoa-like bitterness in the beer. This is then rounded off with a treacle sweetness from Muscovado sugar. Deep black in colour, the beer is smooth and velvety to the eye and to the mouth.

Appareance is of a coke, not a stout: dark brown with visible carbonation and a soapy head. Plain malty aroma. Taste of caramel malts and toffee. Coffee is very very weak. Just a hint. Poor effort.

Bottle, gift from Mum & Dad- cheers! Dark brown with a small beige head and a bit of fizz- too much for a stout to my mind. Coffee and chocolate on the nose is pleasant. On tasting it’s rather thin and the flavours are too mild. The chocolate is ok if subdued and the coffee gets a bit fake and syrupy by the end. All the beers in this Waddy’s craft range seem a bit half-hearted and unfortunately this one is no exception. Shame- would have liked Waddy’s to pull this off but possibly a step too far into the unknown for this very traditional brewery.

Una decepción de cerveza. Aunque hay q tener en cuenta que soy muy exigente porque este es mi estilo favorito. Tiene un inicio de sabor dulce para acabar con un fondo a toffee.

Bottle from ocado online. Dark brown beer with red tints and small head. Aroma is roast coffee and a little cocoa. Taste is roasted malts, bitter coffee and a hint of faint cocoa. The taste didn’t live up to the aroma, overall OK.
