Rating #1979 2015.09.26 #CraftTakesSeattle Day 3, Beer 80 Draught at Taphouse Grill Pours a hazy copper with a fairly frothy head. sticky lacing. Aroma is mild grapefruit, tangerine, mild floral aroma.Taste is mild sweetness (citrusy, piney, floral) and a lingering bitterness - cookie dough, caramel malt character really brought out, really resinous and sticky in the finish. Sample at Tap House Grill. Hazy orange color with a thick off-white head that diminishes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of citrus, piney hops and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 10, 2016
2 finger head.. atop a slightly hop-hazed honey colored brew.. sticky lacing looks very pretty.
Aroma is every bit a DIPA.. there may be a little toasty maltiness in there... but it is drowned out by a nose hair coating piney hoppiness.
Flavor is again a DIPA... I would hesitate to call this just a huge APA... there may be a little bitterness missing, but the hop flavors are amazing.. big grapefruit .. oily hoppiness fades for a short time into a toasted maltiness...but then quickly melts into a slick tongue painting hop flavor.. Body is fairly light for a 9% beer.. but that actually is making me tonight want another sip fast. Only real complaint is it could use a touch more carbonation. nealblind (1848) - Seattle, Alabama, USA - FEB 22, 2016
think dark gold big fluffy head. aroma apple juice. Tastes grassy slightly floral Panzuriel (2199) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - AUG 8, 2015
Leafer Madness pours a very hazy darker amber with a firm head of white bubbles. The nose is initially a bit sweet malt on the front end. a very faint floral hop aroma. First sip is sharp and the body is lively. Flavors of floral hops become apparent mid to end of the sip. lightly roasted malt also present.

Palate: sweets continue, overripe fruits, some bitters coming up, grass, pine. and lots of resin. Overall: nice IIPA, quite a bit of resin in the palate. "medium to full bodied and pretty flavorful, but not as good as the sum of it’s parts. better than a few but still got blown away by the likes of hercules, blue dot, and maharaja. piney and aromatic with a little citrus, and a lot of malt to make it pretty well balanced. a little on the premium side of the price spectrum for what you get." CampesinoTino (800) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 13, 2014
Bomber. Dark orange and gold colored in appearance with a solid layer of foam. Mostly pineapple, orange peel and pine in the aroma with a bit of herbal hops and passion fruit toward the end. The taste is a blend of leafy hops bitterness and pine resin upfront along with some tropical fruit, honey and malt to round things out. More citrus rind and resiny hops bitterness in the finish. Definitely lives up to its name.
