Too sweet by half, fruity, malty and overpoweringly scented. Smell clings and permeates the taste. It does look purty though! boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 19, 2008
Bomber bottle... Poured orange with a think white head, nice lacing. Beautiful, floral hops on the nose with a little spicy residue. Great drinkability and a satisfying hop bitterness for a mere pale ale. Other flavors of citrus and other fruits and a mild candy like sweetness probably from malt. trokini (1025) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 15, 2008
Pours hazy orange with a lasting short white head. Earthy caramel malt, nuts, and toffee in the nose with grassy hops. Smooth, robust taste with apricot and grapefruit hops, light resin, butterscotch malt, and a slight vegetable taste. Nice APA. vulcanmeister (278) - La Grande, Oregon, USA - OCT 4, 2008
Pours light coppery on tap with medium white head. Because I got it in a restaurant, it was colder than I would normally drink it. First taste was a nice light sweentness, floral notes and a good kick of hops. Continues with toasty malt, citrusy zest, and spice. Nice crisp bitterness at the finish. hayduke (5549) - Eureka, California, USA - SEP 23, 2008
From a 22 oz bottle this poured a golden to amber that looked like rich apple cider with a moderate dingy white head and good lacing that stuck to the glass like glue. Nose of citrus hops, mostly grapefruit, with light caramel malts. Very nice mouthfeel that was just short of sticky. Flavor was bitter and it tasted almost like an IPA, but not quite. Bitter finish that rounded off a very drinkable APA that I would easily go back to again.

22oz bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours a golden amber with a medium off white head. A great citrus hop aroma with a very clean and crisp finish. A great Pale Ale. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - AUG 22, 2008
22oz Bomber - Corvallis Brewing Supply - Corvallis, OR mjg74 (3116) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 14, 2008
Aroma – Nice amber malts with huge hops aroma.
Appearance – Amber in color, thin head and clear.
Flavor – This was more like a average IPA than a APA this was huge with hops and the malt was killed with hops .
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, IPA like texture with a dry finish.
Overall – A good beer but way too much with the hops. If it was a IPA then awesome but an APA it is way too much. But it was very drinkable...
Bomber from BevMo, La Mesa. Medium amber color upon pouring. Decent hop character. Somewhat roasted and malty. Pretty good mouthfeel. Solid APA. DarkElf (3062) - La Jolla, California, USA - AUG 11, 2008
29-May-08 (22-oz bottle: Purchased 12-May-08 for $3.79 at Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) Exceptionally dusty, woody and very earthy hops are the focus of this pale ale. The flavors of the medium-bodied and toasty malts are unobtrusive, but the lack of any sweetness at all simply highlights the earthiness. Dry, earthy and dusty hop aroma dominates the nose, but there’s a hint of dry chocolate and dark toast. Carbonation is satisfactory, but a bit on the low side. The body is hazy amber in color and the off-white head is foamy and dense and shows remarkable staying power, never fading below a quarter inch. And I wouldn’t call the foam coating most of the glass "lacing," rather, it’s more like a warm, dense, winter blanket. So, in the grand scheme, it’s not an especially balanced pale ale, but it’s tasty and enjoyable anyway. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - AUG 5, 2008
large soapy bubbles, but they did not disappear as quickly as I thought they would. beer is a nice slightly hazy gold. pizza doughy aroma, shortbread and dried hops. Somewhat uninspired, but not to a fault. Theres a burst of hops in the finish and it ends crisp. I like this as a session bomber, the price is certainly right. Excellent value.
