COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A hop lovers delight, this American India Pale Ale is brewed with over 1.5 lbs. of hops per barrel. As with all IPAs, this beer is higher in alcohol, hop aroma and bitterness than regular pale ales, and you dont have to sail to India to enjoy it.

On tap at the Brew Pub Boston Dec 05. Easily my favourite of the ones that I tried. Amber coloured nice crispness and bitterness though some sweetness balances things out well, hops come through very well suprised at the strength. Very good beer.

on tap-pours a creamy offwhite head that laces with gold color. Aroma is crisp hops, citrus. Taste is crisp lighter hops, grapefruit with a slight bite, refreshing.

Crystal clear apple juice body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, floral/orange. Taste is medium sweet, floral/orange, some caramel, light grapefruit. Watery medium body. Pleasant, but seems more an APA.

Poured a pale amber with little head (all of the beers at the brewpub were very lightly carbonated). Nutty and slightly hoppy. Of the beers I sampled at Beer Works, this was the most tinny in the aftertaste.

[email protected] Works, Boston, Ma. Quite buttery and sweet. Sweet hops in the nose and flavour. Piney, earthy characters. Slightly sticky.

Clear golden color with a medium creamy white head. Aroma of citrusy hops with malt. Good flavor of floral and citrusy hops with malt and a bitter finish. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation.

At the Fenway location - 7/21/2005 Pours a clear deep copper, a little darker than you would expect from the average IPA. Creamy and dense tan head. Smells of bitingly bitter floral hops. The hops overwhelm the tongue. Yes, there is a bit a light malt sweetness in there but overall just very bitter from start to the long lingering finish. Herbal and floral hops assault the palate. No sweet citrusy grapefruit here. Good stuff if you like an IPA to bite back a bit. Fine drinker for me.

CamdenD (1195) - Madrid, SPAIN - JUL 31, 2005
Draught at Fenway location -- nice IPA, a bit too sweet for my tastes, suprised to see it was 6.5%, as this beer tasted like it needed more alcohol. More pine than citrus.

Sample at the Fenway Park location. Slightly oily medium amber, lasting head and thick lacing in the glass...dry-hoppy nose redolent of bitter herbs, dry grassy, faint dried fruits...very bitter initially in the mouth, hints of light apricots, fairly juicy and lightly malty...bit burnt tasting towards the end but this is much better than most samples Ive had here.
