COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A hop lover’s delight, this American India Pale Ale is brewed with over 1.5 lbs. of hops per barrel. As with all IPAs, this beer is higher in alcohol, hop aroma and bitterness than regular pale ales, and you don’t have to sail to India to enjoy it.

on tap on the premises - canal st. boston. hazy bright golden with a nice white cap offering some retention and lacing. mango candies, borderline articial, peppery strawberries, kind of buttery caramel - not quite overwhelming; minerals. moderate carbonation, light to medium body - oily; semi-sweet piney-citrusy finish. under-attenuated. buttery strawberry shortcake. o-k.

On tap at Boston Beer Works. Somewhat fruity aroma... Cherries? Taste has caramalt, grapes, and a dry bitter finish. Pretty solid not-quite-american-style IPA.

On tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy amber pour with thin lacy white head. Aroma is hoppy, piney, leafy hop, light caramel. Taste is bitter, piney old school, quite bitter, malty notes. Palate is med bodied, good carbonation. Decent.

kathouse (1925) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - FEB 22, 2015
A clear, medium amber with a thin head. Hop aroma is typical citrus with some pine notes. Body is fairly light. Slightly bitter but lacks real hop flavor to make this any thing but ordinary.

cheap (5959) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 27, 2015
Listed as Dye House. Slightly darker than pale lager. Clear. Friendly fruity aroma, quite attractive to the nose. Smells much better than so many of those BO IPAs. Astringent sharp initial killer taste. Long bitter finish, lasting fer ever. Not into IPAs but this is onstyle BS.

berkshirejohn (6588) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 26, 2015
On tap at a Beer Works outpet at Boston Logan Airport. Colden amber with a thin white head; piney hop aroma; dry, piney hops taste with some lingering bitter orange marmalade and a very dry finish. A rather good IPA that ticks all the boxes for me.
