Probably a new entry, served at Beer Works Salem on Cask, "dry hoppeed with citra." Whatever.... Pour was orange in color, lacing was solid and almost continuous. Aroma of strong citrus and grapefruit as well as pine. The flavor followed, strong ripe citrus rinds with a great pine balance too. Mouthfeel was medium to full, ok carbonation level. tvazteca (20) - Brighton, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 3, 2013
Pretty solid IPA from Beer Works. Tons of hops on the tongue, form start to finish. The smell doesn’t seem to escape the beer well but as soon as it hits the tongue it’s coated with stickyness. Great simple IPA. sirchris (42) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 30, 2005
Cask - Hazy orangish body with a wonderful creamy white head. Nice grapefruity aroma and well blended hoppy taste. Soft carbonation.
Tap - Head was smaller and not as creamy. The body was the same color, but less hazy then on cask. Similar aroma to the cask conditioned. The taste and carbonation was more sharp. The hoppy taste was more immediate.
Overall I enjoyed the cask conditioned version better, but both tasted great. BREWMUSKCLES (2686) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 3, 2008
seemed too light in color from the keg this ale is nicely hopped and complex and in competition with it’s own quality malt flavor. a hop and barley mash fragrance it has a sour off flavor weaving in and out only making it more interesting and genuine. solid yet not overpowering with a craftsmans mix of grapefruit and infused pine flavors. good finish clean and not abrupt with well matched alcohol. i like brews like this that are wholly satisfying but yet quite drinkable. i say, a bit of a treat!

Sharp and biting hop presence with nice fruit bitterness. Underlying sweetness as well. Nice brew. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 25, 2002
A weak but very pleasant hops aroma. Golden red amber with nice white lacing head. Medium body and carb. Really nice bitterness. Awesome hops and weak malt flavor. Bitter finish and after. Very refreshing. Once I tried this, I stuck with it for the rest of the evening. A really nice IPA. ericnixon (746) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 6, 2003
A dry beer that was wicked hoppy. It had a sorta buttery finish to it. 'twas good! Fin (10540) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 12, 2006
On tap at the Brew Pub Boston Dec 05. Easily my favourite of the ones that I tried. Amber coloured nice crispness and bitterness though some sweetness balances things out well, hops come through very well suprised at the strength. Very good beer. johnnnniee (4312) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - SEP 5, 2011
Enjoyed on tap at the Lowell beer works location.
Poured a fairly clear deep golden color with a tightly bubbled off white head that slowly receded to form a cap on top. Smells of citrus and grapefruit with a caramel malty backbone. Pleasant aroma for an old school style "C" hops based ipa. Taste is what I expected, citrus and grapefruit bitterness in front of caramel and toffee malt. Long lingering citrus bite in the finish. Medium body and carbonation level, resinous sticky mouthfeel. Very clean ipa probably my favorite beer of the night.
