The appearance was a dark brown color with a finger’s worth of eggshell white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Light messy lace.
The aroma had some strong notes of roast, chestnut/pecan, toast, cocoa powder, light coffee grinds and ends with a little bit of earthy hops.
The flavor lent a hand to the sweetness initially and then mildly brings in the roast slightly. Some of which blended into the aftertaste and rubs the finish in the same sort of way.
The feel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a tad under. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good too.

Boston Beer Works Nut Brown pours a chestnut brown color with a roasted nut aroma. Flavor is simple with a good mixture of roasted malt mixed with a mile sweetness. Pours a nearly opaque dark chocolate brown with a fairly thick tan head. Aroma has a malty core with notes of caramel and cloves and a snippet of cinnamon added to it. Roast malt flavor trots cinnamon, caramel, clove and even slight molasses notes across the palate. Beer had at beer works in boston airport. Beer enjoyable but average as a whole with no standouts. Food was ok, good for the airport the though. Tasting notes as follows:
Hub light: clear, acidic, corn, short lasting
boston garden golden: light, bready
Patriot pilsner: warm, flat, sweet, light hop finish
Fenway American Pale Ale: funky hop flavor, bitter start and finish
Back Bay IPA: pleasant aroma and hop taste, simple, dry finish
boston common: minimal aroma, minimal taste, flat,
Beantown Brown: nutty nose, sweet candy taste, newcastle-like

12 oz draft pour for about $5. Brown with almost no head. Aromas of malt and beer. Fairly interesting flavor, it has a fruity bittersweetness I associate with really dark chocolates. Maybe a bit overboard on the dark malt however, tastes almost burnt. This is a totally inoffensive and OK brown ale, nothing to seek out but nothing to avoid. Draft at Logan Airport Nice looking ale with a dark brown color with a thin biege head. The aroma was mild and of raosted malt. The taste of burnt malt was present with chocolate.
