Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a dark brown color with a fingers worth of eggshell white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Light messy lace. The aroma had some strong notes of roast, chestnut/pecan, toast, cocoa powder, light coffee grinds and ends with a little bit of earthy hops. The flavor lent a hand to the sweetness initially and then mildly brings in the roast slightly. Some of which blended into the aftertaste and rubs the finish in the same sort of way. The feel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a tad under. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good too. Overall, good brown ale worthy of having again.

Draft. A dark brown beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, and lighter notes of bread and fruits, leading to a dry finish.

Boston Beer Works Nut Brown pours a chestnut brown color with a roasted nut aroma. Flavor is simple with a good mixture of roasted malt mixed with a mile sweetness. The sweetness is caramel and molasses. A refreshing and bubbly beer that was easy drinking and enjoyed near Fenway Park.

Pours a nearly opaque dark chocolate brown with a fairly thick tan head. Aroma has a malty core with notes of caramel and cloves and a snippet of cinnamon added to it. Roast malt flavor trots cinnamon, caramel, clove and even slight molasses notes across the palate. Lively, fizzy texture is fairly firm, and leaves a tingly feeling on the palate and on the pipes as it heads downstairs. Beans, beans, the musical fruit...

12 oz draft pour for about $5. Brown with almost no head. Aromas of malt and beer. Fairly interesting flavor, it has a fruity bittersweetness I associate with really dark chocolates. Maybe a bit overboard on the dark malt however, tastes almost burnt. This is a totally inoffensive and OK brown ale, nothing to seek out but nothing to avoid. If youre at Beer Works and want a brown ale go for it.

Draft at Logan Airport Nice looking ale with a dark brown color with a thin biege head. The aroma was mild and of raosted malt. The taste of burnt malt was present with chocolate. The body was light to medium with soft carbonation. Nice finish with roasted malt and nuts.

Draught. This is a simple little brown ale that lacks character and feels very thin.
