Bottle:   Soft roasted malts, a little spicy, touch of bright earthy malts.   Seems to have a little
black coffee with some cream and sugar.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Fairly assertive sweet roasty and
spicy finish.   Lots of black coffee, creamer and sugar.   A little musty after the finish, but this beer
is all about flavor from start to finish.   Pretty enjoyable. mcox90 (2160) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 13, 2014
Sampled at Mass Brewers Fest ’14. Poured dark brown/black with a thin tan head. Fair amount of nutmeg and cinnamon on the aroma with secondary milk chocolate. Flavor has the usual stout flavors as well as light pumpkin and spices. Body is thinner than I would have liked. Pretty good. BroSpud (2283) - , Massachusetts, USA - OCT 16, 2014
12oz bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black with a thin tan head. Pumpkin aroma but the actual pumpkin flavor is very subtle. More pronounced are notes of cinnamon an chocolate. This one went down real fast. Damico (3146) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 21, 2013
Pours thick unclear dark chocolate with a small beige head. Aroma has light spice and earthy pumpkin like notes blended well together. Flavor has an awkward tang with some pumpkin mash component in there for sure. Frecklest00 (7) - Alabama, USA - OCT 22, 2013 does not count
Overall taste was very deep and smooth. Not for a quick drink, but great as a dessert. Could be interesting as a cinnamon ice cream float.

From tap at the Canal Street location. Pours dark brown with a deep amber glare and these pumpkin spice sweet sprinkles again...Cinnamon spiced aroma from the sprinkles again. Dry malty, spiced and toasted breadish flavoured. Spiced and dry finish. brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 4, 2011
A: The pour is almost black in color with a finger of tan head. This one also came with cinnamon sugar on the glass.
S: I get plenty of roast and chocolate with some mild spices. Maybe a bit of coffee, but not much pumpkin to it. As it warms, a bit more cinnamon comes through. Some molasses and toffee sweetness.
T: The flavor has a light acidity, likely from the liberal use of roasted malt. Some light toffee sweetness followed by coffee, nutmeg, and cinnamon. As usual with pumpkin beers, not that much actual pumpkin.
M: Medium bodied with medium carbonation.
O: Better th
