Cask; Special - November.
A rich, dark, full-bodied oatmeal stout. Full-on roasty flavours with hints of liquorice, some dryness and a balanced bitter finish. One to savour!

Cask at the Victoria Inn, Rugby, 30/10/13. Mid black with a good sized light tan head, good lacing ensues. Nose is light roast, earthy cocoa powder, hoppy backnotes. Taste comprises dark berry fruit, light roast, hint of pine, mineral bite, hopy backnotes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light roast and a hoppy resonance in the conclusion. Solid hopped up cask stout affair.

(Cask): Black with an off white head. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malt and fruits. Roasted malt base with a sweet fruitiness punching through with some hops, chocolate. Kind of black forest gateau blend of flavours. Quite rich and a good bitterness on the finish. Quality stuff!

Cask, Criterion, Leicester. Dark brown with a cream foam. Aromas are weetabix and chocolate with nutty notes. Liquorice and dark berries with smoky notes. Herbal and floral with plummy fruit. Flavours are sweet weetabix and toffee malts with burnt toast and herbal notes. Lemon with pithy grapefruit and white grape. Dry and peppery to finish. Nice.

Cask conditioned handpump Wig & Pen Northampton 13/11/12. A black beer with a grey head and lacing. This is delicious. Sharp piney hops. Some roasty notes. Really hoppy. More a BIPA than an oatmeal stout although there is definitely a roasty element. So drinkable and bloody tasty.

Cask, handpump at The Hunters, Kilburn, Derbyshire, 05.11.10 Pours black with a light beige head. This is a nice fruity stout with plenty of cocoa powder and the light creamy chocolate. The finish is quite dry, however its more notable for being quite rich and smooth. Like this. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6
