"i’m gonna have to do some research and find out what hop is the ass hop, or maybe there’s something else going on. slight aroma and flavor of bitter ass. not as prominent as, say, the Jospeh James pale ale, which was wretched and smelled like a fart, but this ain’t a good beer either. some pleasant bitterness really the only decent thing going for it. average at best, but really, that’s even a stretch." rjplumer (1075) - Foxboro, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 27, 2014
Opaque burnt amber color. Faint citrus aroma on top of a malt. Mildly bitter with a sweet undertone.

Pours a clear amber with a thin eggshell head. Crisp aroma is malty with a woody hoppy undertone. Malty flavor is a tad sweet, with a hoppy note to balance. Smooth texture is pleasing, if average. A good one to drink whilst watching the Red Sox play. puboflyons (3400) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 6, 2014
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Murky orange pour with a really short-lived white fizzy head and then nothing. Melted butter or vegetable oil on the nose, which overtakes any pale malt, yeast, or hop character that was fighting its way out from behind. Light to medium body. Toasted bread in the taste with a somewhat more potent hop character than I get on the nose. For what its worth it tastes better than it smells. ryanscourt (1456) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 29, 2014

Clear gold with a white head. Doughy malts overtake what might be some nice hops...hard to tell. Carbonation is a bit much. Finishes a tad watery and lightly bitter. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 17, 2013
Draft at Logan. Pours a lightly hazy amber with one finger of bubbly, diminishing, head and seafoam lace. Nose of roasted malt, mild hop - very light pine and grapefruit. Mild bitterness, lots of roast. Sour cream from dirty tap lines rdenney18 (109) - Lawton, Iowa, USA - JUL 30, 2013
A pint across from fenway park. Even though its named after something red sox, its a nice pale. Good hops and taste, but not over the top.

Aroma consists of grassy hops, like a pils almost. Orange color, decent carbonation. Medium bitterness, bready sweetness. Crisp, hydrated feel. The namesake park serves bigger brands, but this is always available just across the street.
