A: This one pours amber in color with a white head.
S: Smells rather bland. Seems to be mostly bready malt with a light floral and grass hop note. Maybe some toasted malt and toffee.
T: A very grassy hop flavor. Light bitterness with some yeast and bready malts. Also sort of bland. A very faint fruit note in there somewhere, maybe we’ll call it citrus peel.
M: Light bodied with medium carbonation.
O: Rather lackluster and unenjoyable pale ale. I’d skip this one. Aurelius (5335) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - SEP 30, 2011
Pretty good, the only minor flaw was that it was slightly doggy smelling at times. Floral, grapefruit peel, tangy, medium bittering, lightly sweet. Medium mouth. Great label. Thanks to Lucky Dog for driving this back. rodzilla79 (90) - Maryland, USA - JUN 28, 2011
Not that great. I almost think I got a bad bottle. It’s bitter and has a kind of sour aftertaste. I’ll drink it again if someone buys it for me, but that it.

On tap at Boston beer works, Logan airport, Boston, Mass whilst waiting for my 747 back to Blighty last October. An amber coloured pour with a reasonable off white head. Aroma of citrus fruit/hops. Tastes of citrus fruit, malty, hoppy, bitter, spice. OK for an airport beer.

Lemony caramel with gentle citrus. Clear copper with white ring and lace. Pleasant caramel flavor with slight lemon and pine hops.
Moderate bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly bitter finish. Foxbush (2029) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - OCT 12, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 13, 2011 Coming back from Martha’s Vineyrad we stopped in at the Boston Beer Works at Logan airport. This APA was a very clear copper to amber. The head was small and disappeared. The hops bitterness was evident but only some citrus like lemon. Smooth and bitter at the finish with some bitter cherry. Just an average APA nothing special. On our trip in October 2011 we enjoyed the APA again. We raised the marks slightly. RobertDale (6479) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - AUG 7, 2010
On tap at Fenway brew pub. Amber colored with a small biege head. Aroma of citrus and malt. Tastes of sweet malt with some hop bitterness. Decent enough. PhatB420 (840) - Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 19, 2010
the aroma is both inviting and misleading. The taste is pale ale at first but then a bit of acidic aftermath that leaves me questioing the brew. bottle says 5.8%, which it mostly tastes like. This is a different pale ale that is not too sure of itself. but worth trying. thornecb (5915) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 8, 2010
Pours deep gold into a shaker. Bright white micro head with excellent retention leaves spot lacing as it recedes to coat surface. Resin and grapefruit aromas. Crisp and fruity upfront turning slightly astringent in the lasting bitter resin finish.
