[2/2/17] Draught at Boston Beer Works Canal Street in Boston. Yellow. Grainy, kinda fruity, bread, sweetish, slightly bitterish finish. Just another brewpub blonde. thorongil2 (3424) - , Ontario, CANADA - SEP 9, 2016
((Tap) clear, bright yellow colour with a small white head; aroma starts with a hint of noble hops, then bit of jam and grain; inoffensive but thin and light on hops bavarian81 (157) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 2, 2013
I had low expectations for Boston Beer Works version of a kolsch, but I was pleasantly surprised. The body was nice and clean. Crisp palate. Ever so light hoppiness and.. tartness?? I dunno. If you like the german kolsch style, you’ll like this. thicksuds (451) - Massachusetts, USA - AUG 30, 2012
Not a bad kolsch, very drinkable, has that extra flavor that makes it more than a pils, good summer beer, golden in color, well done. caseynswan (46) - - AUG 1, 2012
Wonderful memories of hay season on the farm come flooding back when I smell this. It smells like a hayfield. Thin head; clear, straw color. Has a faintly sour taste with a very light mouthfeel. On the dry side.

Draft. Pours clearish yellow gold with white head. Nose/taste of malt and light pine. Clean finish. Medium body. User37895 (3085) - - AUG 13, 2011
Beer Works Kolsch - On draft in Salem. Poured a golden color, carbonation bubbles low in appearance, ok continuous rings of lacing. The aroma was grainy, no fruity esters. The flavor was grains, faint citrus, no significant fruity esters, lingering astringency in the finish with a decent hop bitterness. Mouthfeel was a tad grainy, slightly acidic. Very, very pale straw-coloured pour with a tight white head. Clean malt aroma - crackery with a kiss of floral hops. Crackery base malt - very clean and excellent. Fresh and floral with loads of light zesty noble hops. Man - I wasn’t expecting to like this as much as I do when I ordered it. Damn solid. MiP (15972) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 11, 2010
Draught at the Boston brewpub. Mild fruity aroma. Clear shiny yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is fruity with a refreshing bitterness. Quite clean. Not unlike a real Kölsch. Lubiere (14151) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 20, 2010
A blonde Kolsch with a thin white head. In aroma, a very chalky powder with German hops, crisp. In mouth, a classy Kolsch with loads of Saaz hops, grainy malt, chalky and medium bodied. On tap at Canal St. brewpub July 11 2010.
