Draft. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and bread. AirForceHops (7140) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 21, 2015
Draft Canal St. Location. Orange/ light brown color. Aroma is to the style, satle bread, caramelized malts, dead hops (English hop)
Flavor is typical. Caramel sweetness as the base with lager yeast with the light nuance of skunky aftertaste. This is a great style for the transition of the seasons. No problems here except for the thin body. Foxbush (2008) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - OCT 6, 2015
Draft at the Logan Airport The Lager poured a clear dark amber with a smallish head that dissipated to an off white head with no lacing. The aroma was bready with sweetness of toasted malt. This Oktoberfest is a one of a kind. Many have tried to brew a lager that is this good. There was decent malt character. The taste is more complex and one of the best I have had. There were also some spicy notes. The lager had a medium body and soft carbonation. The 23 IBU contributes to improving this beer. This is a special Oktoberfest , when passing through Logan Airport stop off while this is in season. yespr (44807) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - OCT 23, 2011
From tap at the Canal Street location. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild cornish and slight grassy. Caramelish, light grassy bitter and toasted malty. Bitter and caramelish finish. Rather bitter into the far finish.

Another solid, if unspectacular, seasonal. Very sweet and malty, good balance, medium bodied. Not amazing, but not bad at all. brokensail (16436) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 7, 2011
A: The pour is amber in color with a white head.
S: Toasted malt and toffee aromas to start things off. There are some earthy and floral hop aromas as well as plenty of bread. Though overall, it’s not really all that aromatic.
T: The flavor starts off with lots of sweet malt, bread, and toffee. There are also plenty of earthy hop flavors. It’s sort of bitter for an Oktoberfest, unfortunately. It’s also lightly watery.
M: The body is light with medium carbonation.
O: Sort of odd flavors/bitterness for an Oktoberfest. A bit watery, too. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 18, 2009

On tap at Salem Beer Works, 22 October 2009. Very handsome bright amber colour. Fruity & slightly bready. Sweetish and fruity flavour. Lots of biscuity malt. Quite tasty but a bit too sweet for my palate.
