- hazy reddish-orange beer with a little beige foam; nice lace; earthy with notes of red fruits below, light mineral; quite velvety palate yet with a late tart earthiness; gently yeasty; medium-bodied, quite dry and bitter; long earthy and flowery finish with again a mineral touch
malty nose, dark breadcrust, honey, and a little bit of sulphur and liquorice. Too bubbly. Roasty, breadcrusty with hints of caramel and honey. Dry and decent finish. kappldav123 (6133) - GERMANY - DEC 7, 2015
Bottle looks simple but okay. Beer in the glass amber coloured, small head. Starts mild, malty, modest dry. Light fruity hints. Background metallically. Finish a bit flat and boring. But still okay. Erzengel (9504) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - DEC 4, 2015
Malty smooth beginning. Fresh and "red", nice hints of nuts, Fresh and floral malty with a nice intense bitterness in the aftertaste. Malt, nuts, great! Very nice brew! biir (1596) - Berlin, - OCT 18, 2015
Flasche. Tief-dunkelrote Farbe, Geruch nach Malz und Dörrobst. Im Geschmack etwas einfacher.

Mild herber, eher trocken röstiger Antrunk. Geringe aber immerhin vorhandene Würzigkeit, etwas getreidig. Süffig, es fehlt das Besondere. 10/9/9/9/9/9 sound67 (784) - Offenbach, GERMANY - JUN 13, 2015
Maker: Bierfabrik Berlin, Germany ***
Beer: Rotbier (Red Lager) (bottled, 500ml) ***
Style: Amber "Vienna" Lager ***
ALC.VOL.: 5.5% (not 6.1% as quoted above!) ***
"This red lager beer owes its colour to the use of three special malts. In additional to traditional Pilsener malt we also used the Carared, Caraamber, and Melanoidin malts." (brewery note, my translation) ***
Colour: Clear amber; huge, frothy head. ***
Nose: Wet plaster, some caramel, a wee bit of hops. ***
Texture: Relatively full body, hardly watery, a bit grainy. ***
Taste: Opens with slightly sweetish malts/caramel balanced by some floral notes, a tiny hint of citrus, bread. More malt in the middle, wee floral element hangs in there, more bread. Increasing bitterness in the finish, still malty. Mild hop bitterness and caramel linger for a little while. ***
Impressions: Some Pilsener style traits, like the wet plaster aroma, are a turn-off at first, but the malty base, the nice balance with the hops on the palate and the surprisingly full body leave a better impression. Not bad, nothing special either. *** Grumbo (3978) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - MAY 19, 2015
Bottle from bierpost.com online store. Poured a clear deep amber colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit, malt and yeast. . Medium sweetness and bitterness with an underlying sourness. Bitterness to finish. Didn’t enjoy this very much. fonefan (51109) - VestJylland, DENMARK - FEB 7, 2015

Rötlich, schaumig. Anfangs schmeckt man Malz, Karamell. Im Abgang wird es ziemlich bitter (trotzdem noch angenehm).
