Wow, I’m impressed. This is one of the tastiest session low alcohol IPAs I’ve had. Really wonderful hop aroma and flavor. Nice.

This canned brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy with a frothy top fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a typically carbonated transparent orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was floral musty and malt hop. The bubbly crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a medium hoppy aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

On tap at Jolly Pumpkin in Detroit pours a clear dark gold with some frothy, lacing white head. Nose is zippy with hop, grass, pine, citrus zest, lightly floral too. Flavor has just a hint of grist, lemon, lime, grass, straw, mild pine. Finishes dry and bitter. Crushable. Very well done.

hotstuff (5301) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 28, 2016
Rated on 3-28-2016 (Bottle) The appearance is a medium sized off-white head that mostly diminished, transparent golden body, fast rising carbonation observed, and one ring of lacing. The aroma citrus hops, grassy, floral, grapefruit, and grainy. The flavor presents much bitterness, citrus hops, some pine hops, earthy, some grapefruit, and a bit grainy. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, a quaffable session beer that is quite bitter tasting and hence has a lingering bitter aftertaste.

On tap: The aroma consists of moderate grapefruit, citrus, and a hint of caramel. It’s a mostly transparent amber with a touch of haze and a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of light toasted caramel. The finish has moderate grapefruit, faint lemon, and a touch of grass. It’s light bodied with light-moderate carbonation.

12 oz bottle at home. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have grassy, earthy hops, light citrus, toasted bready malts, dry, sessionable (yes), would I want to (no), I just don’t get some of these session IPAs.

Bottle. Pours a hazy copperwith a huge head and lots of lacing. Aroma of citrus and light fruit. Taste of cirtus, fruit and a bit of grain. Nice bitterness and a dry finish. Fairly light body, crisp, clean feel. Good session beer.
