4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance - Black with dark, dark brown edges. Light has a lot of trouble trying get through this; light ultimately fails. A very small mocha brown colored head appears while pouring, sticks around for a little while and then retreats to a minimal amount clinging to the edges of the glass.
Smell - Coffee; I can pretty much smell coffee. A little bit of roasty goodness in there as well that compliments the coffee well. Raisins, some milk chocolate, a little bit of creamer.
Taste - The roasted flavors come through first and foremost, but they give way to an awesome blast of coffee and milk chocolate. It finishes with a lot of raisin character, The coffee is definitely not as strong as I thought it would be, but it lingers for awhile, especially in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - The carbonation gives a nice prickly feeling in the gulp, mouthfeel isn’t too full but it isn’t too light either. I remember this being lighter the past times I have had it, but that was when I was drinking syrup disguised as beer all the time. This seems thicker and a lot better than before.
Drinkability - This isn’t too high in alcohol content, the coffee doesn’t hit you like a freight train, and everything this beer should be seems to be balancing well with all of its qualities. This beer is definitely quality.

Great coffee and chocolate mixed aroma. Appearance is dark and cinnamon colored foam head. Taste is incredibly smooth from start to end, just taste so right between bitter and sweet, you can get a lot of chocolate and a bit of coffee after taste. Bought in 4pk bottles. This is probably the best stout I have ever drink. Almogabar (112) - MARIA DE HUERVA (ZARAGOZA), SPAIN - MAR 8, 2018
Botella de 355 ml adquirida en Gastrópolis (Zaragoza). Servida en vaso de Founders a una temperatura de servicio aproximada de 8-10 grados. Color marrón muy oscuro, espuma marrón poco persistente y sin retención.
Aromas a café tostado, chocolate negro, vainilla. Sabor muy intenso y complejo. Predominio del aroma a café. Notas a malta tostada, ligeramente ahumada, caramelo tostado. Muy equilibrada, apenas se nota el alcohol. Final persistente. Una muy buena stout imperial. AleLegion10 (7) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 7, 2018 does not count

On tap at Bottle Bar East
Big chocolate and coffee nose. Some vanilla and molasses as well.
Taste is tons of dark chocolate and nutty coffee malts. Molasses and vanilla come through as well. On the sweet side but a healthy amount of dark chocolate bitterness.
Palate is thick and chewy. Really nice.
Overall, this is amazing! I actually like it better than the CBS. Smoother and easier with almost as much flavor. jolnanis (11) - - FEB 28, 2018
UPDATED: FEB 28, 2018 33cL bottle from Antenna America, Yokohama.
Appearance- Solid black body with tan head that vanishes leaving just a ring of froth.
Aroma - Dominant note is coffee rather than cocoa, alcohol can also be found. Nose somehow reminds of some
Taste - Bitter chocolate and moka coffee, although somewhat less sweet. Roasted bitterness (totally different from hop bitterness) is really present in the aftertaste, along with a sensation that somehow reminds of brine.
Mouthfeel - Quite carbonated as far as coffee stouts go. Somewhat
Overall - A classic in the style. Easier to drink than the really sweet barrel aged versions, even though it seems quite stronger that the 8.3% ABV announced on the label.
Deon (395) - POLAND - FEB 22, 2018
Czarne, nieprzejrzyste, piana beżowa, dość trwała. Aromat intensywnie kawowy, kakaowy, lekko owocowy i waniliowy. W smaku kawa z mlekiem, słodka czekolada, nieposłodzone kakao. Jednocześnie pełne i słodkie oraz kakaowo palone. Goryczki nie brakuje, bardzo gładkie i zbalansowane. Nachanont (16) - Bangkok, THAILAND - FEB 18, 2018
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2018 Bottle at @Kuad Beer. Coffee aroma with sweet nose from chocolate with medium to low caramel aroma. Tan top with low carbonated, dark clear color. Coffee favorite with a bit sweet from oatmeal and chocolate test. Test some caramel malt with no hops aroma. Medium body and a bit dry when finish.
