3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks to kenb for the trade. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with small yeast floaties and an average size creamy off white head that left lots of lacing. Aroma of various citrus, caramel and grainy malts, nice malty/hop balance. Flavor of some pine and grapefruit, yeasty and some plastic. Some lingering hop bitterness and a little on the thin side. More of the caramel malt came out in thise one as it warmed up.
12 ounce bottle given to me by neighbor. Good neighbor! First few sips are fine, then weirdly, this beer lost its mojo. Towards the end I strangely could not tell what the hell I was drinking. Huh? Oh well, free beer is good beer! cmacklin (1443) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 9, 2016
355ml bottle. Pours a hazy copper with a small, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of peach, apricot, caramel malt and bread. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, toasted malt, grapefruit, grass, spice and pine with a dry, bitter, resiny finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Very malty ipa, unbalanced and kind of weird but still ok. jsnicholas (735) - Woodinville, Washington, USA - JUL 23, 2016
Tap at 6th Street. Copper color with white head. This IPA leaned toward the mail side. Light on bitterness . Quite drinkable. teamsale (317) - Washington, USA - MAY 11, 2016
Bottle. Aroma is green olive and citrus. Taste is heavy malt but still delicious. Really, really heavy malt. Bitterness is just right though. Exceptionally unbalanced, yet there is something about the flavor that is drawing me in. Enjoyable and weird. Sarlacc83 (2514) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 7, 2016
A: Dark red - mostly opaque. Thin drifting off white head. Lacing.
N: Toasted malt, pine, grapefruit, biscuit, some bark, damp autumn leaves, onion, burnt brown sugar, and peppercorn.
T: Quite bitter, lightly burnt, lightly sweet.
M: Medium body, very prickly carbonation, light alcohol burn.
O: Throwback IPA. Dry with a big malt bite and the ’characteristic’ lack of intense dry hopping. Still, quite nice.

From a 355ml bottle on 10/3/2016. Pours a slightly cloudy golden with a small head, Has a muted aroma of caramel, honey, some citrus fruit and an odd slightly chemical smell. Take a sip and there’s a bit of sweet caramel malt, lots of sharp sweet and sour citrus, a bit of spice, followed by a big, quite astringent bitterness. The texture is a touch syrupy and the carbonation is soft. This is a bit of a weird one. Not at all typical of a west coast IPA, and comes across as a little unbalanced. On the bright side, it did begin to charm me just a little towards the end. sm89walt (2096) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 8, 2016
Bottle from Beer Cartel, Sydney. A fairly deep copper-amber colour with a small and fading off-white to light beige head on the pour. Aromas of pine, resin, tropical fruits and sweet-accented malt. Similar to taste wth a slight toastiness from the malt towards the back end. Mid-weight with definite malt heft but maintains a crisp, refreshing texture. Medium carbonation finishing with a moderate to full intensity and length bitterness. mkel07 (6602) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAR 7, 2016
Bottle from Beer Cartel 050316. First beer from Terminal Gravity Brewing Company and judging by this beer I will be back for more. Full bodied and full favoured with just the right amount of hops. Zeswaft (1788) - Edmonds, Washington, USA - FEB 16, 2016
