4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: hazy orange with a big white head leaving superb lacing.
Aroma: a mix of what citra, nelson sauvin and sorachi ace have to offer. Lots of fresh tropical fruits, citrus and some pine. Aroma may not be too intense, but it’s really, really good and enjoyable.
Taste: on the first sip you have to fight through the high bitterness this beer offers, but later comes the fresh tropical and resinous taste combined with some sour-ish notes. Alcohol is well hidden, this beer is an easy drinker. Watch out, drink responsibly, don’t borrow next day’s happiness ;-)
Mouthfeel: medium to full bodied, rather high carbonation.
Overall: I really enjoyed this one. It’s a very fresh and highly drinkable IIPA. Mikkeller has done it right yet again. Cheers!
Booooooom! Have this! What a cracking DIPA. Like orange marmalade to me, love it.

Medium aroma of malts, caramel, wood, vanilla, fruit, hops and citrus.
Turbid/opaque golden/amber beer with a slight off-white head.
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, wood, vanilla and fruit; ends slightly bitter and dry with hops and citrus.
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. There is some wood and vanilla shining through and I really have no idea why. Maybe the guys did not clean their tap thoroughly enough? Great fruit flavours and a decent bitter finish thanks to the hops. Great appearance and palate as well, but the aroma could have been stronger.
330ml bottle at home. Pours a hazy orange amber with some head. Very intriguing and spicy aroma. Lots of tropical fruit, orange, lemon, booze, resin, hops. Nice balance of intense tropical and citrus fruit with herbal and spicy hoppiness. Taste is very bitter, medium sweet, caramel and with a pronounced malt base. Fruity, though not as pronounced as in aroma. Finishes herbal and earthy, resiny side of the hops shows off here. Finishes a tad sugary and boozy too. Nice double IPA, flavour could be a tad more fruity or juicy for my liking but could be due to it being a tad old. borre_m (1700) - NORWAY - SEP 9, 2017

Fantastic IIPA. Lots of hoppy experience, with a sweet well balanced body. Don´t fear the high ABV. ken1 (2074) - DENMARK - AUG 4, 2017

Jól sikerült Imperial IPA. Eros, még sem alkoholos. Süteményes felhangokkal. (Elso Mikkeller csapfoglalás alkalmával a Jónásban, csapról). Unde (1128) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 27, 2017
UPDATED: JUL 27, 2017 Awesome deep cloudy orange beer with nice head on top leaving beautiful lacing to the sides of the glass. Aroma has sweet tropical fruits, citrus fruits, cantaloupe melon. Taste is really bitter with grapefruit and grass hops, maybe too much alcohol and ABV for this beer. Fullish body and medium carbonation.
