Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Poured from a 12oz bottle. Aroma is terrible, like Corona or something. Colour is a nice dark golden colour. Thin white head, minimal lacing. Flavour is better than most Mexican beers. Some roasty flavours. More depth in the flavour than most. Mouth feel is pretty watery. Overall one of the best Mexican beers I’ve tried, and its cinco de mayo so overall is a good evening.

Had this one with a lime on a plane. Refreshing with the lime, pretty basic otherwise.

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2017 My new favorite Mexican beer. Really refreshing, rich, malty and smooth beer.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2017 12oz bottle. Really good Vienna style lager for the price point. $27.00 for 24 bottles. Nice color and good malt taste. This will be a staple in my beer fridge for now on.

Draft at Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, Dos Equis tent. Clear amber color off white head. Aroma of cereal and caramel. Taste is sweet medicinal caramel.

On bottle.

Pours red-brown with white foam, nice carbonation. Notes of caramel, a little watery, easy to drink.

Smooth, has a nice, light bready taste, pairs well with pub grub, or solo. Not a meal in a bottle, but a nice complementary beer.

bottle. Poured deep amber with a thin creamy beige head. Sweet malty aroma, brown sugar note. Light-medium body, crisp carbonation, lingering tart finish. Medium roasted malt flavour, caramel notes, slightly metallic, a bit peppery.

This is my second favorite amber ale. I always have either this or Michelob Amberbock in the fridge.
