UPDATED: MAR 24, 2008 A white beer while watching the White Sox in Game 4 of the WORLD SERIES! 750 ml swingtop bottle from the brewery. Labels still say it’s from the closed Stone City Brewing. I may have held on to this too long again, because it is a little sour. Still, that can work for this style. Lightly cloudy straw body with a rocky, lacy head. Smell is bright and beery, with a hint of lemon, spice and hops. Sourness, as I’ve noted, probably intended (I’ve kept it in the fridge, but it was warm at the brewery). Taste includes those lemons, a bit of coriander as expected. The wheat in this example is really apparent in softening the palate. Definitely a nice summertime brew with some kölsch properties. Thick layer of yeast on the bottom of this hefty bottle. Well, I started typing this review in the middle of the 8th inning, but now I offer it as a toast to the
CHICAGO WHITE SOX!!!!!!
bottle from beer of month club from jenny. last shipment :<. nose is somewhat clove and banana, bubblegum. saison like but more white ale-ish than saison. smooth and full, medium sweetness, bitter and wheat meet up for a clash here. pretty good for a style that is often awful imo. weihenweizen (3751) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JUN 12, 2017
Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle from shribber85 poured into a weizen glass. Cloudy bright golden with small white head. Aroma is coriander, medium soft body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is grains, some coriander, and a little esters. Patrickctenchi (6560) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - MAR 9, 2017
Cloudy, pale yellow, with a solid white head.
Banana, wheat aroma.
Taste is sweet, wheat malt, banana, lemon/orange.
A little yeasty bitterness, but pretty good.
Not quite as sharp as I prefer, but a pretty tasty Wit. jb (3221) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAR 3, 2017
This seemed to have more of a saison thing going for me, with bubblegum, cloves dominating the nose and also present in the taste along with a dry iron sort of taste. Clear, pale yellow, nice thick lacing pattern. Thanks for the trade Ron! Ron (3923) - Rochester, New York, USA - NOV 23, 2016

Outstanding first beer!
Clean with a touch of citrus and floral in the finish. Nicely laced glass. Pared well with chicken quesadilla!
This is a great beer to start your private adventure! Sláinte! robforbes (2238) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - JUL 2, 2016
Pours a clear light amber with a very small white head and very good lacing.
Smells a bit skunky, malt, some caramel, and a little dirt.
Taste is of wheat, a little citrus, banana, and earthy. Ends a little citrus and fruity. ozzy70 (1133) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAY 7, 2016
12 oz. bottle. Poured hazy/cloudy golden, medium white head. Aroma was yeast, wheat and lemon. Taste was sweet, orange, yeast and citrus. jmohno (1612) - Iowa, USA - MAY 7, 2016
Hazed pale yellow, Light head, foamy. ARoma is clove, lemon citrus, Maybe hints of banana. I remember this being more bublegumy than it is now. Its dry tart light and lemony, minerally almost diety. Use to like this more, haven’t had it in years. drpimento (3576) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 20, 2015
Aroma’s mostly yeast with a bit of spice. Colossal head that settles shortly. Flavor’s like nose plus fruit and a little malt. Something about this beer rubs me the wrong way.
