4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
One of those beers where the first sip really blows me away and takes me a second to wrap my head around. Flavors of lemon, pear, corriander and other spices. Lots of brett funk, including a nice sourness in the finish. A beer that really plays on your palate. The flavors seem to move around, come together, separate, etc. I don’t know how they do this, but it is great. Manages to be quite sweet, but also finishes dry. Nice thick coating mouthfeel, but ultimately light and airy. Not sure how either of these contradictions work, but they do. The thing that really blows me away is how fresh it tastes. Typically, a funky brett style belgian like this tastes musty and old (in good way). This one manages to stay rich and explosive. Very impressive beer.
Bottle from Stanislaus Brewskovitch, Zwolle. Bretty, tart and funky aroma with grainy malt, peppery yeast, citrus, wood, bread dough, grass, notes of lemon. Flavour is tart and moderate sour with a light bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Nicely complex and funky, quite tasty! Tasche39 (526) - SPAIN - MAR 23, 2018

I do think that this one is more of a sour ale than a belgian ale. It is a very good pumpkin ale, part of the LCBO 2017 Summer Beer Program. MatChar (152) - Quebec, CANADA - JAN 31, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 31, 2018 Bottle. Appearance: clear light yellow golden, nice thick white foam getting into thin laces, low and subtle carbonation. Smell: very subtle brettanomyces, perhaps bread/cereals, very smooth vinegar. Taste: notes of lemon, bread and very smooth funk, nice low sourness and sugar, great texture and feel, medium drinkability. Overall: high quality and awesomely balanced beer, was expecting more complexity, but still highly enjoyable.
