Bottle/Fest. A- Apricot puree, subtle funk. A- Golden color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Apricots, medium sourness, subtle funk. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, refreshing finish. O- This is straight to the point and I love it. Lots of apricot throughout and only a very mild touch of funk and just enough sourness. Really a delicious beer that I would love to have around during the dog days of summer.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2017 Draft at Bru Craft. Cloudy golden orange pour with some off-white foam. Juicy and big. Modestly sharp sour. Good display of woody hops. Apricot nectar. Tangerine. Apple vinegar. Autumn leaves. Straw. Faint hint of spice. Vanilla. Cinnamon. Nutmeg. Works for me.

March 11, 2017 - on tap at the Rare Beer Fest. Yellow pour with limited head. The taste was just way too tart, not very enjoyable for me.

A better than average sour. The apricot is apparent more in the taste than the aroma. Light yellow and tart. Sweetness offers nice balance. Tried at Omahas Extreme Beerfest in 2017 with Jess and the parents.

Averys Apricot Sour is heavy on the apricot and light on the sour. Lots of apricot on the nose with hints of funky straw. Succulent apricot flavor with very subtle barnyard funk. Finish is tart, dry, and partially sugary - redolent of a semi-sweet white wine. Even someone who is leery of Sours could appreciate this. Its intensely fruity and only slightly acidic.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 1/26/2017. Pours very hazy deep orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger foamy off white head with poor retention, that reduces to a thin ring of lace pretty quickly. Minimal lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/tangy apricots, peach, lemon, lime, green apple, white grape, plum, cherry, hay, straw, pepper, toasted oak, wheat, and bread; with light musty/leathery funk, vanilla, apple cider vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, apricots, oak barrel, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy apricots, peach, lemon, lime, green apple, white grape, plum, cherry, hay, straw, pepper, toasted oak, wheat, and bread; with light musty/leathery funk, vanilla, apple cider vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness and light yeast/tannic oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of sour apricots, peach, lemon, lime, green apple, white grape, plum, cherry, hay, straw, pepper, toasted oak, wheat, bread, light funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, apricots, oak barrel, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness balance. Minimal puckering after the finish, with no sour/tannic astringency. Light-moderate dryness from tart/sourness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp/acidic/grainy, and slightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.3%. Overall this is an awesome fruited sour ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, apricots, oak barrel, and bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and pretty refreshing to drink; thanks to the mellow/balanced acidity/sourness. Very impressive and well rounded wild/sour complexity, with nice oak presence; and great malt balance. A really enjoyable offering.

Bomber. Sour apricot aroma with notes of lacto, Brett, vanilla and a bit of oak. Pours cloudy orange colored with a thin white head that burns off quickly to no retention or lacing. Starts with sweet apricot with notes of vanilla to go with a lively mouthfeel due to the high carbonation. Finishes smooth and tart with sour apricot, lacto, Brett and some oak flavor coming through with the fruit lingering on the palate. Very nice sour.

22 oz bottle shared, purchased at Mile High Wine & Spirits. Hazy yellow to orange appearance with a white head. Aroma of sour funk, stone fruits, light barnyard, light vanilla and a hint of toasted oak. Similar flavor, fruity and sour with a tart, puckering mouth feel. Nicely done.

On tap at Avery poured a hazy apricot with a small lingering off white head. Aromas of straw, apricot and light funk. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, apricot and light citrus with a crisp dry tart lingering apricot finish.
