Pint pour on draught. Dark brown with orange highlights and off-white head. Roasted malt aroma. Flavor of roasted malts, medium bitterness, and ricg underlying sweetness as the glass warms. Very nice. Definitely worth drinking again.
Bottle thanks to beerandblues2. Pours light brown with some ruby highlights. Aroma and flavor are nice light chocolate, toffee, vanilla, light toast, and a slightly ashy finish. BeerandBlues2 (14407) - Escondido, California, USA - OCT 21, 2017
Bottle at home. Pours brown with a small, frothy beige head, short retention with spotty lacing. Chocolate and nutty malt, bready notes, earthy and citrus hops, medium-light hop bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. zoucrew102 (2310) - - AUG 26, 2017
Bomber. Caramel malt aroma with notes of chocolate, toasted malt and nuttiness. Pours clear caramel colored with one finger of tan head that has excellent retention but no lacing. Starts with nice toasted and caramel malt flavors with a little bit of chocolate malt. Finishes smooth a bit dry with rich chocolate malt flavor and a good amount of nuttiness. Excellent brown ale! gregwilsonstl (2734) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 26, 2017
Dark amber. Clear. Smells sweet. Thick.
Caramel. Not as citrus as id expect w cascade. Tasted at Cousins Trip Tillamook Bulk_Carrier (6064) - Vermont, USA - MAY 6, 2017
Poured into a mug, the appearance was a deep dark ruby red almost brown color. Finger’s worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace.
The aroma had some soft sweet nuts, light chocolate brownie, black pepper and wood.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side at first and then brought in a nice bready sweetness to follow into the aftertaste. Slight bready to woody finish.
The feel was about medium bodied with a nice semi-smooth dry glimmering feel. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, pretty nice brown ale, slightly different than what I’m used to. Worthy of more pours.

Very dark colour, almost the appearance of a porter. Slightly disappointing that the flavours don’t match the strong appearance. Nicely drinkable, but lacks a little punch. (K) ALLOVATE (3093) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - OCT 4, 2015
Another gem from my new top of the pops brewer. At just on cool and into a snifter. Looks the ducks nuts. Deepest ruby chestnut and brilliant with a good two inches of lasting off-white mess that leaves a thick lace. Soft and subtle roasted nut brownie nose with licks of pumpernickel, camphor, peppery spice, mace and driftwood. On the palate it doesn’t sway much. Beautifully malty, nutty and woody with a light glimmer of hop. Wonderfully drinkable; this is that beer that you order pint after pint without thought for after work drinks and, kebab in hand, stagger home afterwards. Medium bodied as it warms. Rich milk chocolate comes through amidst plenty of roasted, nutty malt, Nutty, roasty, toasty finish is long and matched by an earthiness that balances the chocolate notes. Creamy and soft. Extremely sessionable. Brilliant brown ale that might even convert the haters. Lovely!! Draft - The lightest amount of dark malt. Clear copper with a decent beige head. Light twig and a bit of toast. jkwood04 (5473) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 27, 2015
On tap at the brewery. Pours brown with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel and pale malts, light toffee, light bitterness, and some dough. Flavor the same with an off note on finish. Average texture. Not the best brown ale, but not awful. mkel07 (6574) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUN 26, 2015
Bottle from Wine Emporium, Newstead, 260615. Pours with a thick deep head of tan foam. Reddish brown colour with a strong biscuity malt flavour that fills the mouth with joy.
