UPDATED: APR 7, 2017 33cl can at home from Beergium. Nose is roasted malt, fruity. Body is black, head is big, beige, rocky, mostly lasting, good lacing. Aroma is coffee, dark chocolate, smoked wood, roasted malt, cocoa, light citrus. Medium sweet, medium bitter. Finish is long lasting hoppy and roasty medium bitter, further developing hoppy bitter. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Easy dessertish beer, tasty, well balanced, interesting, great one.

You could have fooled me by saying this was a Porter or a Stout (but it’s not). Chocolate malty aroma, looks beautiful being all black (very dark red tones) with a wonderful head. Tastes malts, coffee, chocolate and some bitter citrus. Overall a quite nice beer.

Fruity scent. The flavor of the dark malt and light fruitiness. Good bitterness that fills the mouth for a long time. Good beer but not much more. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Really dark brown color with frothy beige head. Aroma has roasted malts but also some dark fruits like blueberry and blackberry. Taste starts bittersweet with roasted malt and dark fruit notes, continues with a hint of liquorice and finishes with fresh roasted coffee beans. Medium body, medium plus carbonation. Overall it’s a quite good BIPA.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - close to opaque black but with some red chinks. Nice lacy head. Nose - very dark chocolate. Taste - rich chocolate with a bitter chocolate finish. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - this is at the stout side of black ipa.

Zwart bier met schuim. Smaak is krachtig bitter hoppig en licht rookig met iets van zwarte bessen en chocolade.
