beer-yum (1955) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 1, 2017
Restrained aroma in a coke coloured pour. Similarly laid back hop forward balance with coffee malt body and clean finish. A little wanting for a BIPA in my book - their Sabotage collaboration brew is way better.

33cl bottle. Thanks Gnoff. Poured black color with a thick white head. Nutty, roasty, sweet fruity aroma. Sweet flavors, some mild smoke and berries. Quite interesting.

Bottle. Hoppy and roasty with pine, grapefruit, orange zest, roasted coffee and dark chocolate candy. Nice and refreshing.

Bottle from sb. Pours close to black with a huge beigebrown head. Aromas of citrus, pine, grass, roasted malt, and macadamia nuts. Taste is fresh with hints of roasted malts, citrus, coffee and pine.

kraddel (9338) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - AUG 17, 2017
Tap at biercab. Pours black, creamy off white head that is extremely stable and has a real nice lacing. Smell is roasty, as well as hoppy. Sharp and creamy, alnost lactic in a way. Taste is full, very differentbin its hop than expected. Not sharp at all. Full, creamy, chocolaty, very full. Mild hoparoma, as well as a decent bitterness. Damn , this actually IS good !!! Can’t agree more with the text ’everything an BIPA should be. One of the very few nice examples in the style.

rauchbierlover (679) - Berlin, Berlin, GERMANY - AUG 10, 2017
Cola body with a big, foamy, beige head. Citrus and coffee aroma, some resin. Taste is stout-ish: black coffee, licorice, some jägermeister. Dry alcoholic finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle enjoyed at home
Pours dark, black in glass, huge tanned head. Smell of citrus, pine, roast malts, coffee and chocolate, some dark malts and zest. Moderate sweet, a good kick of pine and citrus, alot of roasted malts, nice flavors, some dark malts, heavy bitter, big ass resin tail with zesty edges. This is what a Black IPA should be!!!
