XJR (3) - - MAY 4, 2013
A simple uplifting dark beer very suitable for balmy tropical nights as a change from a world of pale Asian lagers. It pours to light tan creamy head which falls away to a light lacing. The nose is one of scorched caramelized coffee bean and quite pleasant. It has a lighter than expected mouth-feel. The foretaste is reminiscent of burnt bread crust and light yeast which falls-off to an a brief after-taste of raisins and oranges.

berko... you didn’t need to travel to Vietnam, it’s available in Portland!
330ml bottle @ Pok Pok(Portland). Pours a semi clear brown colour with a small off-white head. Nose is malty with a slight nutty note. Flavour is certainly malty, nutty, some raisins. Overall it’s sweet and simple.

mcberko (17854) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 24, 2017
Bottle at Tyson Kitchen, pours a dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light toasted nuts and some dark caramel bready malt. Flavour is clean enough, with toasted nuts, some caramel bready malt and a little toffe. Toasty and lightly sweet. Actually not all that bad.

Bottle from Jeremy, thank you. Brown pour with a small tan head. Sweet aroma of malts and corn syrup. Taste is overly sweet. Toasted malts and more sweetness.

stevoj (5049) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 8, 2017
Bottle from Jeremy. Dark amber, fizzy head. Aroma is cheap cola, kind of stanky. Taste gets worse, dry and chalky. Sour, cardboard.. pretty nasty.

Oxidated dark lager. Pours clean dark copper with little off white head. Weird, basement aromas, poor industrial beer. Forgettable.

Bottle from Beers of the World. Some caramel notes and cereal malts in the aroma.

Bottle at The Beer Lady in Shanghai. If caramel were a soft drink, it would look like this. Has a malty caramel aroma. Taste is quite sweet with malt, cola, and some nuts.

Svartvit (574) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 21, 2017
Bottle at the May THT. Pours clear brown, small tan head. Sweet roasted malts, caramel, some fruit, cardboard. Meh.
